Really looking forward to the analysis on that Sabourin penalty. #gohabsgo

When I visited, I was fortunate that my local bus stop was next to a garden with a wall of convenient height. And also that I was on holiday and therefore had the time and leisure to sit in pubs.
PLAYOFF ANDERSON IS MY FAVOURITE ANDERSON #gohabsgo
I love Hugo shortlist day! There's almost always something I've never even heard of, which is glorious because either a) I'm gonna love something I wouldn't have known about or b) a bunch of people with completely different taste really loved a thing.
Either of those options is a win.
(Just looked her up on wikipedia amd apparently Yannick grew up to be a competitive skier, cool!)
I used to babysit Jacqueline's kid - she lived down the road from the house where I was a teenager. Very nice woman.
My buddy Matt has been working on a documentary series about theatre for a little over a year now, and the first episode is finally out! www.youtube.com/watch?v=423q...
Aha! I knew there had to be a thing. It was so "this has to be a thing."
a) that is very very beautiful
b) there has got to be a video game looking at using this style visually, right? Surely?
HENCH is a phenomenal book, and I am very excited to be getting more from these characters and this world.
It's funny, it's grounded, and it gives time and attention to the collateral damage of heroes.
I know! But I will gladly suffer being told a book is coming out several times in order to not miss the book, especially one I'm looking forward to as much as this one.
(Also, friends, if you have not read HENCH then trust me, go and do that as soon as you can.)
A) can't wait, preordering, etc.
B) Authors should be even more insufferable, the number of times I have not known a book is coming out despite several announcements is sad, hammer that gong if you have a book coming out
It's playoff time, which means I can engage in one of my favourite hockey hobbies: going "awwwwwww" at the rookies who are trying very hard to grow a beard and are just not quite there yet
And only five by halfway through the second period. Crikey.
Nah. That song is about lovong someone and admitting you've been wrong with no way to fix it, two things he has no experience with.
Yessssssss #gohabsgo
Some small beloved children of my acquaintance will be in the audience today. One of them is young enough that they have no idea what's going on, but the other is Extremely Pumped.
I got to act in the stage equivalent of this film (Glorious!) a few years back. Jenkins and William McGonagall are heroes of mine - love something, do that thing, rejoice in that thing.
Am just over a third of the way through the (so far really good) THE EVERLASTING by @alixeharrow.bsky.social amd just sat bolt upright and said "of COURSE. His name is Mallory. OF COURSE."
Blessed are the cheesemakers.
Desperately want to tell my choir director how well I am doing at this #taskmaster live task. Spotted the first three immediately, took a moment on the last one.
(Did help that it all started with a reference point, otherwise I would have been lost. Decent relative pitch, bad absolute pitch.)
I first heard this one in a very thick Quebec accent (with fur trappers instead of cowboys), and let me assure you, it works even better like that.
"Oh," said Ridcully dismissively. "Quantum."
Joining this group of Warehouse 13 admirers!
I love watching creative people who love a thing being happily impressed at how well other people do that thing
A total of one (it has been a very busy spring and I only discovered it in February) but I have also watched at least one series of the UK equivalent with Sandi Toksvig!
Such a good show
That IS lovely. I've been following @charleslafrance.bsky.social who takes a lot of photos inside Montreal's metro - it makes me happy that the architecture of holes in the ground is so varied and interesting everywhere and everywhen.
