The Kluth spring Invitational opens Friday, April 24th in Kent, Ohio. Lots of great art from local artists.

How to prove you are a citizen from the passport government website.
Birthright citizenship determines who can vote. Without using a birth certificate, how would you prove you are an eligible voter? Drivers license and passports both depend on birth certificates.
Dandelion Wine was written 69 years ago and Bradbury’s most recent novel was published twenty years ago.
Weir’s writing works better for men than women, but who knows? Maybe Ryan Gosling will change the equation.
I’m still stumbling over the need to apply filters before compositing layers. Non-destructive editing keeps tripping me up.
I made a 3D collage featuring orchids from the Cleveland Botanical Gardens combined with tropical birds and jaguars cropped from a different collage and mounted dimensionally with board.
This piece is on display in the Intent:Evolve collage show at Kluth Gallery in Kent, Ohio.
I wrote a story about a war, but it’s more of a metaphorical war. It’s about the limits of militarism. I call it Love War, like maybe we love war too much, or maybe you are fighting on the side of love, like that Tom Morello video or maybe it is phrased as a question, do you really love war? #nowar
Rob Bignell says try something risky and I 100% agree. Write in the present tense, write in the second person, write from a non-binary perspective, turn a poem into prose or prose into a poem, or create a visual poem. You can do it! It’s fun.
Fun!
We all feel like that, but think about those ten people who enjoyed it. Something’s missing in the promotion chain. What if agents repped books that are already out? All that work has to count for something. Good to know it improved my communication skills.
The dismantling of the publishing industry means no support for promoting new authors. We need alternative systems for promotion. Giving everything away for free and monetizing later is the “content creator” model, but a book is a lot of work and it shouldn’t have to be given away for free.
You know I’m a huge fan of Bruce Lee’s philosophy, “be water.” That’s why I’m putting Jeff Chang’s Water Mirror Echo on my short list for Spring reads. @zentronix.bsky.social
The Fence stole my jewels and left me a briefcase full of scratch paper.
One can believe, simultaneously, that protesters in Iran should not be shot or hung en masse for speaking out against the government and that war against the mullahs in Iran is illegal without congressional authorization.
Iraq 2.0. Expect chaos.
Shocking. We need the names and they need to be prosecuted.

Even Microsoft got rid of Delve.
It should only be used when describing what the dwarves do in the Lord of the Rings.
Love it!
Wishing you all the power you need. 🤩
This cover design is intricate and bold -- and then I heard there's time travel. 🔥🔥🔥 #sciencefiction #timetravel
Have you tried DEN Denver?
And I took the fork less traveled.
Love this one. Preach it! Zombies, shipwrecks, headless ghosts and more!
A cogent point about point-of-view and a topic to explore. What is objective and what is subjective? Centralizing experience within a character provides clarity, but doesn't require repeated attributions. Readers don't want to struggle, but you don't have hold their hand. Less is more in most cases.
I've got a new story going out. Learn more about what I'm up to on my blog: fredpierre.com/2025/

I saw that movie.
Lyric, surreal and hard-hitting. The Sea cannot be contained.
Save it all and mine it later.
Imagine if your birth certificate wasn’t proof of citizenship. That’s why there is an attack on birthright citizenship. At the same time wealthy immigrants can buy citizenship for $1,000,000. I’m already grumpy about having to show my driver’s license to vote. I don’t want to prove my family tree.
