Nice looking, using animations to stagger movement/inputs is very souls like, does it stagger on every damage type or have you considered a poise system? For smaller damage sources separating damage anim between full body and only upper body might be a good idea.

real nice, personally know how difficoult cling-jump mechanics can be to make them both look good and feel good, the animator in the projekt i had ended up with a very quick and snappy animation since our game handled multiple quick walljumps.

Ah in a symmetrical setup its a bit more difficoult but one thing ive seen that kinda works is to remove linnear leveling and handle stat uppgrades and new moves like sidegrades or specializations making the average power of any 2 combatants equal stat-wise. basically give everyone lvl 100 mons

That depends on so many other systems and decisions, games like darkest dungeon are resource based so the power of the team goes down the longer the fight goes on. For jrpg style a common method is to use elite style mobs that generate smaller mobs and have round based enrage mechanics.

I'm not entirely sure about the validity of that statement, it's true that action heavy games (apex,lol etc) will have a higher profit and playercount but in almost every other metric story-centric games reign supreme (bg3,Witcher 3,rdr3) they just don't have the same longevity since stories end.

Working on a fog Shader in unity3d HLSL and am smashing my head against a brick wall trying to find why the fullscreen shader refuses to use all the additional lights at the same time. Has anyone had a smilar problem? it clearly gets and uses the point light data correctly,idk help is appreciated.
