This is good long-term and good for the party brand, but it sucks that an inability to keep sex pests out has cost the Democrats a seat in a House that's now (I think?) 217-213.

Yup except sometimes they celebrate the deaths... but death is their policy goal.

It’s normal for me to want to cry in Costco. It’s not normal to actually CRY but I guess nothing is normal right now.

And accrediting organizations let them because they never really cared either.

Why do hospitals bother with charting if no one reads them?

highly recommend having the best co-authors who will pick up the slack when you become basically useless because of life. Feeling professionally #blessed lol

Is Western European food so bland because they all smoke and can’t taste anything anyway?

The only thing I miss about Twitter is my lukewarm hot takes getting traction when I was bored enough to post them.

Abolish ICE.

There’s no reforming it.

There’s no compromise.

There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

Tonight I watched Prime Minister Mark Carney take the actual Heated Rivalry Canada fleece from Hudson Williams, slip it on and say: “This is true soft power.”

It really is wild how we’re to be respectful of the trauma they supposedly experience and not that of the actual victims. They are cowards and wimps. And should be reminded at every opportunity

Controversial opinion but a loaf of sourdough from just about any halfway decent US bakery or home baker beats any European bread out of the water.

There’s a rally going on in Boston rn and they’re chanting “we’re not cold, we’re not afraid, MN taught us to be brave!” and I might cry

Once again, Trump’s foreign policy isn’t really realist, or imperialist, or neoroyalist, or about spheres of influence, etc. Its sexual predation/abuse elevated the level of the state

Never feel dumber than when I’m trying to interpret escalator signs in airports

Also, the thing that is must be at the same time entirely novel, coherent with the prior intuitions of the reviewers, and not controversial whatsoever (even if you intentionally rearrange the words to make the paper into the most outlandish argument possible).

Yay!

deposing a foreign ruler and spending tens of billions of dollars on oil subsidies so we can put American frackers out of business, just in time for EVs to permanently collapse oil demand. that's the Trump business touch alright

Have we considered the likelihood that ICE's knuckle-dragging goons were simply illiterate?

Over 90% of transgender and nonbinary people surveyed in Norway satisfied with gender-affirming care outcomes
A survey of transgender and nonbinary people in Norway finds that the vast majority who have received gender-affirming care are satisfied with the treatment outcomes, including 93% of those who received hormones and 96% of those who underwent surgery.
The findings, included in a new report by the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law in collaboration with
the University of Agder, Norway, show that transgender men and women were more likely than nonbinary people to have obtained gender-affirming health care. The share of study participants who reported having made most of the changes they wanted -socially, medically, or in other ways -was highest among transgender men (35%), followed by transgender women (18%), nonbinary people assigned female at birth (16%), and nonbinary people assigned male at birth (0%).
Using data from a nationwide sample of 579 transgender and nonbinary people in Norway, researchers examined gender-affirming health care needs, care experiences, and overall health and wellbeing across gender identity groups.

If this was any other set of medical treatments, the entire medical community would be scrambling to study how they could improve their own treatments.

Other class form sent back for 'editorializing'. But the conservatives aren't participating in this in good faith - so why (and more importantly how) can I?

Here’s some things that can be done by a party out of power

- file impeachment articles every day in the House

- withhold unanimous consent in the senate and filibuster every nominee

- be everywhere with comms saying this is lawless and impeachable

Can't wait to see if TTU bans me from teaching JUST a week on environmental justice, and thus environmental racism, in my US Environmental Policy class.

Some anonymous survey respondent in my data used the platform provided open ended feedback to tell me: "To the human reading this: I'm glad you're here. Keep breathing; stay hydrated!" And wow I needed that, and maybe you do too. So there it is!

I might have been in a version of that camp (I’d like to think a more nuanced version) but… This study does provide a nice counterpoint
