Been inspired by Suzi Ruffell the comedian, who takes toys when she goes away on tour. I have beanie baby with me on my overnight work trip so I can send photos to my son. Result is that I look like I have an emotional support animal, but I’m ok with that - he’s good company.

Finally got round to trying to use Bluesky/Twitter follower bridge to re-connect with people from there but it seems to only search for a fraction of the followers. Am I doing something obvious wrong? @kawamataryo.bsky.social

There are some quotes from Michael Rutter in this piece… he talks about it being a dynamic process not a fixed trait and is much more eloquent than me! www.independent.co.uk/life-style/h...

Michael Rutter speaks about this really nicely - about how resilience is related to a specific stress of some kind

Ah so glad to see you are on here! @intheflowerbeds.bsky.social

Yes I have written about this - I think it’s really important to say what the resilience is in response to - not to use it like a blanket term to say someone is resilient to everything….

‘Mum was ill, not bad’: family call for reform of England’s justice system after prison suicide Exclusive: family say case of Kay Melhuish is stark reminder of the dangers of criminalising vulnerable women

Grim prison treatment of a vulnerable person leading to her death described here. This article is really sad, and highlights a clear need to consider mental health and neurodiversity in this setting and provide proper help.
