Just being a nerd here: but it can't be "8-bit" as it says in the text, if it was originally an Amiga game (16-bit).

A little bit of the Jurassic Coast, West Dorset/Devon. View towards the cliffs, sea to the right. Greens in dappled sunlight colour the sloping land on the left. In the distance, greys and many shades give depth to the cliffs where the sea turns to mist.

I'm still amazed that your system selects judges through a partisan model... Totally alien to me. Surely they should be neutral? (For all my system's many faults, it does this a little bit better, I think)

Opinion: Of course the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury should be renamed Someone who openly spoke about assaulting children has been honoured, over and over again, in their lifetime and in the years after their death, because they had a good career in broadcasting

It is news to me too... But:

I love private eye, (and subscribe). But he's right, isn't he? Lot quicker to build solar and onshore wind than anything else.

Noticed a pigeon nest from my hotel window. Been watching mum feed the chicks through the day. Not seen it for an hour and thought: maybe I just missed it?

Surprised myself at the relief I felt on seeing her fly back. Hadn't realised how invested I was.

I've always had zero interest in dressage, but this thread keeps on giving. I could even get myself to watch the dancing horses at some point and it would all be sooz's fault.

Definitely one for fans of Maid Marion and Pratchett's Tiffany Aching series. Really fun reads. (Even for us grown ups)

Of maybe they want to not have blackouts and for oil imports to start up again after trump blocked them?

I like you, Fared, but sometimes your posts are suspect.

Took a break from my perpetual re-reading of Patchett. Really enjoyed the first of the Darkwood trilogy by @scriblit.bsky.social

Can really see how it would've been an amazing children's TV show. Thus old bloke had a good time in her world.

Just bought a couple more of Gaby's books. Recommended.

Some red potatoes

Some red potatoes

As spring is here, many of you will be thinking about getting your first early potatoes ready to plant soon.

Don’t forget that the once popular variety “red Duke of York” is now known as “Potato Mountbatten-Windsor”
