We don’t know how votes of insurgent parties (particularly Reform) will be distributed too.
Most projections have them fairly flat across the country as they basically have no baseline to work from.
Things naturally change in campaigns anyway. People focus more on policies & who they want in govt.

I think the SNP are overstated in constituency seat numbers too.
Once local factors and candidates are considered, the anti-SNP vote will unite behind one party (as in 2016 and 2021 in most areas).
That would have a knock on impact on constituency seats won; which impacts on the list returns.
Was so marginal too.
The men’s, women’s and mixed curlers in each category were tremendous throughout and were unlucky to only get one medal this year.
Love seeing lesser followed sports like this at the Olympics. Shame it’s nearly over.
Have you done any analysis of movement between parties since 2021? (ie. 2021 SNP to 2026 Green; 2021 Cons to DK; etc.)
Can I recommend Adam Curtis?
He makes docs for BBC: a very diff style to normal; focus on sociology/psychology/philosophy/political history to explain the world.
This interview may be a good place to start, even if it's about a specific UK-centric doc (esp ~14:00): www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZYn...
A “Wing-dergoal”! 😉
It was a good result in the end, with a fantastic winner!
Thank you! Turned out to be a good result!
“Congratulations! You have seen 600 matches with this team! READING FC”
600th #ReadingFC match today.
Don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing! 😂
Just a thought: the summer window was poor, so I'm not sure how can anyone expect the January window to be much better unless the club has learned lessons from it.
Is there any overarching transfer strategy now? Looking back at the summer, it seems there was at least two competing strategies.
Savage failed to involve himself enough too.
Concerned both seem to be playing deeper than under Hunt when in possession (especially Wing). Appears to be a tactical choice.
Kelvin E seemed to lose confidence as the game went on with how isolated he was.
O’Connor was the most disappointing imo.
2nd half was dire however, though we still prevented Bradford from creating too much (aside from the gifts of two goals).
Biggest positives has to be the return of Fraser and Camara.
Do think D Williams deserved a 6; was a level above everyone else. Otherwise can’t really argue with it.
Thought the performance was positive in the 1st half (without being too threatening) & shifting between 4-2-3-1 & 5-2-2-1 (or 3-4-3 or whatever we’ll call it) has potential going forward.
The fine is only the equivalent of ~£35 for the average UK adult (using median wealth) too!
I can’t imagine why he’s decided to go after the EU…

Exactly. We all want what’s best for the club; we just have different opinions as to how to achieve that 👍🏻
my phone whilst waiting for a mate in the ground. Bizarre to hear him talking about a lot of points I'd raised - almost verbatim at points.
Talk of 'building high/wide' was the obvious clincher to him definitely reading it, so I may have accidentally put that into our club lexicon.
Wasn't expecting to hear it talked about on the pod this week; can't imagine you'd recorded it by the time it was published.
More surprised to hear Tim Dellor reference it heavily on BBC Radio Berkshire before the game. I was only listening as I saw a mention about a Couhig interview, so put it on
Just seen this, but thanks Ross!
I'm never quite sure how opposing people will react; happy you had a positive reaction to it. I wouldn't expect to shift an opinion as well thought out as yours!
Was good to do, as it allowed me an opportunity to challenge my own beliefs too.
Whilst maybe a bit harsh on Rushesha, it’s good to see Abrefa starting; he’s looked worthy since his return.
Concerning Mbengue’s missing again. Hopefully nothing serious and Stickland has a good game in his place.
#ReadingFC
Huge win for us with a strong performance, which is great with Ehib, Craig and Campbell missing.
Yiadom’s return could be massive for us. Rushesha did well.
Wareham’s improving and his goal was impressive.
Bindon and Mbengue massive again.
Team character could get us in the play-offs! #ReadingFC
Tyler Bindon! #ReadingFC
What a great finish by Wareham! #ReadingFC
Good Mbengue is fit enough to start again, but shame Dean is clearly injured.
Will be interesting to see what Ehibhatiomhan can do from the start.

Whether we agree with it is the other question.
I don’t think the can say how many bidders there are due to concerns about identifying people.
Those based in the UK are doing everything they can IMO.
#ReadingFC
I think that’s as good a statement from the club as we could’ve got.
They’ve explained the transfer window well, acknowledged exclusivity has ended, said there’s still credible bidders, tax and players have been paid and understandably won’t talk about the litigation.
#ReadingFC
I hope it’s not bad. I don’t believe he would’ve left had the club not needed the money.
The fact anyone came in with £2m for him must be beyond anyone’s expectations.
I just hope Bodin does well during his loan.
#ReadingFC
Huge result after the week we’ve had and the form we’ve been on.
A sign of high strong mentally this side is.
#ReadingFC
Massive loss for Sam Smith to go.
Hugely weakens us, but losing players is what we’ve feared this transfer window.
Hopefully we’ll be allowed to bring in a loan/free with the £2m.
Purely financially, we’ve managed to make a good strong profit on a player.
Just awful for us overall.
#ReadingFC
Gutting to lose the game like that. Would’ve been a good point to get after being 2-0 down.
Very disappointing night to drop points here.
Positives being the subs made a good impact once they came on.
