I wonder if the solution for AI is that anything AI generated needs to have a notice about where it came from.

Then make removing the notice a serious ethics violation. You can use AI but can't hide that you used it.

It would be good to have a term that doesn't term center fascism. Postreality is broader, talks about cause not symptom, and wrecks their wanting to go back.

The Trump administration could really restore confidence by getting the entire Cabinet to ride a tanker through the Straits of Hormuz to show everyone how safe and easy it is now.

They could bring along a lot of MAGA influencers and Fox News hosts to broadcast it all live!

I've had an idea for FTL that is wormholes to disconnected space beyond our light cone. Somewhere beyond the observable universe, or was visible and no longer is.

This gets rid of casualty problems with FTL.

i like the Parliamentary approach where if legislatire can’t pass budget, that triggers a snap election.

Could the US do continuous appropriations? Employees and programs would continue with inflation increase. Only changes and grants would need to be voted on.

trump’s numbers are tanking and there is a palpable desire in the electorate for a real alternative and yet the only money in democratic politics is for doing starmerism

I don't know about decaf, but I've been drinking Mt Hagen instant. I have it for later cups where I don't want the hassle of making coffee.

I think they have decaf.

Technical restrictions are one thing, but i while i am absolutely in no way advocating anyone do anything illegal, i am saying that, from a cultural theory and philosophy standpoint, it is very definitely long past time for everyone to realize that "moral" and "legal" are not the same thing.

I have thought about if single six-year Presidential term would be better than current system. I discovered that it isn't a new idea, and was debated as alternative to 22nd Amendment.

Anti-Trump, that did the exact opposite of Trump, would be a pretty good President.

Video obtained by CNN shows the rear landing gear of the jet buckling and the right wing shearing away in a fireball after the plane landed hard on the runway.

I hope America is as lucky as the delta jet - everyone survives but the right wing explodes

I had thought about how the imperial Presidency came from WW2 and Civil War where country needed supreme leader.

Also, from Cold War where needed quick reaction to nukes.

But that isn't needed most of the time.

I've started looking for a new job after being laid off from company of twenty years.

I'm looking for Devops Engineer/SRE/Platform Engineer type jobs. I want remote or local to Portland.

The one that would be useful would be translations or converting into text. Automatic might be possible now.

I don't know how would do the connection. Bluetooth beacon with Wifi Direct?

From airport I have idea for announcement system that shows up on phones. I don't want to miss my flight while listening to headphones.

I can't see how this would go wrong.

I also wonder if there should be restriction on officer being on board.

Maybe that would give more separation between boards and CEOs.

Musk makes me think that officer of public company shouldn't be officer of any other companies.

There is gyrocopter flying over the beach in San Diego. If it was at night, it would be UFO.

I was convinced that passkey in password manager is better than random password in password manager.

Passkey can't be phished, the exchange is specific to the site and can't be replayed.

While people can easily paste password into phishing site.

Is Bluesky open enough for that? Mastodon definitely is. The closed ones would be hard but I don't care about them.

I wonder if it would be possible to build a social media aggregator. It annoys me that people are split across apps.

I also think algorithm that shows important posts since last read would be useful. But definitely not throwing in public posts.

There are the maps bigger than the territory. Like maps to computer chips. Or Ant Map.

Are iPad apps no longer a thing? Bluesky, Instagram, and Threads all only have iPhone apps in window.

I'm not even sure why Apple allows those. Or why they don't scale when screen is portrait.
