How old is your laptop? I'll go first… Mine is, “GET OUT” wasn't a movie yet, years-old. Is it time to re-up?

Things I've seen in AZ (landscape edition)
I live here now.
Proof of life. Things I've seen on my retreat.
Glad I got it, though. Super powers rock.
I got the flu shot and COVID-19 vaccine booster in the same arm and now I feel like…
I don't want you to separate me and my art. Art. Artist. Same dude. If I ever milkshake duck on y'all & start saying some wild ass hateful shit, please, for the love of God, throw out my books. Put my DVDs in the microwave just to be sure. I won't be the guy who wrote them anymore. Art IS the artist
shout out to my brother from another mother @joshmillerlite.bsky.social for the gift
I keep thinking about this movie. I may have to mess around and write an essay
I have no idea what it's about outside of this blurb, but murderous machines and Lansdale? You have my attention.
Peep the author. 🫨🤯
There's a great “Pixar Theory” moment baked in there too, if you follow such things.
I really liked Hoppers. More horror movie references then you'd suspect. Everything with “Diane” was pitch perfect. Best Pixar movie since.…………
A scary lady with exaggerated makeup lying on a pillow on her side MONSTROUS MUSINGS "Camp" Is Not A Dirty Word By Michael Varrati (Editor's note: This week I'm passing the Monstrous Musings mic to my friend and colleague, filmmaker Michael Varrati. We've been commenting on the state of the industry via text and phone calls for years, and a piece of news this week sparked an interesting dialogue, so l encouraged Michael to write down his thoughts about it. He did not disappoint! - PN)
It’s always so nice to hear people say they enjoy my weekly editorials in the Fango newsletter. But the ones *I* get excited for are the guest editorials, and this week is a banger from @michaelvarrati.bsky.social - go read it!

For the people who were cross about this show, I implore you to watch episode eight without crying uncontrollably. It’s everything Trek is and should be. I can’t wait to see Tilly again in the FUTURE. I assure you this won't be her final bow.
SAM and her relentless optimism is a breath of fresh air, and I hope she returns in other series.
The most impressive part of the episode was how they made me love my least favorite Discovery character. My view of Tilly changed the moment she said, “Eight out of 10 cadets ask that question [what does theater have to do with Starfleet?]. The other two become captains.”
I’m really disappointed to hear about the cancellation of Starfleet Academy, especially after finally watching Season 1, Episode 8, "The Life of the Stars." There are so many wonderful things about that episode beyond just highlighting quirky theater kids and masterpieces like “Our Town.”
Did y’all check out the teletype this morning? @michaelvarrati.bsky.social cuts deep into the subject of camp and finds the beating heart.
Who wins in a fight? Those Lindt Lindor chocolates or Ferrero Rocher?
Off the Reservation mock-up with dark orange sprayed page-edges. The cover is a deer skull from the side, mouth open wide enough for the title to be there. And some dude’s long, fancy name.
Oh, and: it’ll have edges like this.
And my bandaids?

Get you a lawyer who takes you out on your birthday.
This beauty showed up on my birthday! What’s it mean!? @sgj.bsky.social
Check out this tiny bookshelf. Now I need one filled with @sgj.bsky.social books.
was a blast:
I’ve been thinking about the north. I miss the Arctic. I guess you could say I’m feeling a little homesick. These 80° winters don’t help ✍️
