I just published an article in Technical Communication Quarterly with Dr. Holly Baker about technical editing and AI. This is a project that's been long in the works and we're happy to see it go live! www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

Today Technical Communication Quarterly published an article I wrote on climate science communication on Twitter. My biggest takeaway: while negative emotional interactions may generate more clicks, positive interactions build stronger networks. Be positive!

Hey, how about that.
Or is the SECOND class the statistical anomaly? Discuss…
In a class this morning I referenced The Godfather, and one of my students asked, “What’s The Godfather?” Not a single student in class had heard of it.
In my next class, out of curiosity I asked if students had heard of it, and I’m thankful to report that the first class is a statistical anomaly.
Hey all, my SIGDOC paper (on using snowball sampling and discourse-based interviews to study networked communication) is published. Have a read! And if you’re at SIGDOC, come have a listen!

Keith Giffen is one of the masterminds behind my favorite JL era, made me fall in love with the Legion of Superheroes, and was one of the great writer-artists. Between losing him and Romita this year, and Perez and Adams last year, it's been a one-two (and three-four) gut-punch of comic book losses.
Anytime I put on clothes that aren’t pajamas I count it as a win.
A student today asked me for basic tips on "how to get the writing done." I gave them some of my usual suggestions, but I'm wondering what you all think/do. What tips do you share with students about how to go from blank pages to full fledged papers?
Magic 8 ball saying “All signs point to yes.”
Today I talked with students about reading academic articles and I joined Bluesky. So…good day?
