they also often portray rodents 1. in an unflattering, ugly sort of way, and 2. often reduced to some form of novel slave labor for comedic affect, often being tortured several times throughout the movie as some sort of gag staging. i take great offense to this.

why do the latest furry bait big budget animated movies focus so much on species that are not often appealing . why are there so many water buffalo and hippos and rhinos. respect if those do it for you but rare that i see that represented in actual furry spaces.
