Also, our crews, both “Looney Tunes Cartoons” and “The Day the Earth Blew Up” were always ultra supportive of “Coyote vs Acme”, and have rallied behind the film getting released since WB first shelved it. Glad all our collective rallying paid off! Looney solidarity works!
No, I sadly didn't work on the movie, but I almost did, and I WISH I did! Frankly, I just miss drawing Coyote from my Looney Tunes days. He was the most fun to draw n write for.
Looking forward to August!
Little study of some toys on my desk. If I do more studies like this, I'd definitely rather do them using a different brush than the default vector brush in Storyboard Pro.
The new 4k transfer of "Whisper of the Heart" is playing in theaters for one day only, today. I'm bummed, I have so much work to do, but it's one of my favorite films! Hope folks can go see it n have a good time!
While they still have the slim opportunity, the Simpsons should do a couch gag with JD Vance.
Sloppy morning warm-up of a girl picking flowers. I'm rusty af when it comes to life drawing and drawing the human form (outside of the stylized versions I've done for work as of late). Gotta start studying n practicing again, set up life drawing nights like in the olden times!
There's no real rush on the job, it's not imperative, but I have a raised garden plot, about 2 rows of bricks high, and a small section of the wall, like less than 10 feet, got loose and has collapsed. The bricks just need to be cleaned and relayed with mortar/concrete so we can replant that bed.
Other than the title n cast, everything said on this poster is a lie.
I'd do it myself, but for the cost and work that goes into mixing and laying mortar n such with absolutely no experience whatsoever, I'd rather pay someone to do it right once than pay twice to fix my mistake n hire someone to do it right!
If anyone in the Burbank area knows any folks who can do a simple brick-laying job, I'd love a lead. Trying to find people on either yelp or taskrabbit for this has been difficult, because it's not a big enough job for a full contractor/company to hire, but more in-depth for most TR folks can do.
Today I watched an old animated film I've never heard of before after reading a critical article about it. And doing so, out of sheer morbid curiosity, cut into my usual productive early morning time and, in turn, made me unusually angry and regretful for seeing it. What a waste.
In the last few weeks I've spoken to two executives at a major streamer - one in adult animation, one in preschool content for both animation and live action - and both basically told me the same thing: they're looking for YouTube success stories with huge subscriber bases. 🧵
"Gnome Show", an original series project created by Cas van de Pol (known for his parody videos).

He's used to working with other indie animators, and I note that Mehdi Alibeygi has joined his team here.
Happy Quickie Mickey 2026! #quickiemickey
Amped n' itching to draw this little guy again.

Gonna be starting on my film again next week after hours, hoping to rough out at least a shot a week. Still considering crowdfunding the short, just gotta recalculate compared to what I initially thought would be adequate last year. With the state of things, more animation in the world is better.
I just backed PiRATs! (Emphasis on the 'Rat') - Pilot Animatic on @kickstarter.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/pir...
I’ve been animating some cool things this last month or so and it’s been great to clear the rust off n feel like “oh, I still can do this” after not feeling like I could for a very long time.
Been itching to work on my film again. With everything going on, now feels like the time to just make the things you want to see more of in the world. For me, it’s pantomime, atmospheric cute little traditionally animated narrative shorts about birds and sticks. Now who else would wanna make THAT?

Various animal vignette sketches and illustrations.
Three inked one-page Donald Duck comic book gags.
Nine character pose drawings from Looney Tunes Cartoons and The Day The Earth Blew Up.
Illustration in Walt Kelly style for the 10th anniversary of They Might Be Playing They Might Be Giants.
Some of my work for #PortfolioDay!
I love to draw animals and old-school cartoons.
I never made time for myself when I was working in house, because I thought my job/career was my life. I'm a recovering workaholic and part of that recovery is enjoying things away from the desk n comp, getting sun, giving myself excuses to stretch, go out and enjoy life while i still have the time.
I realized that the things that truly made me happy or content were the things I could readily and easily take the reins and control on my own. My home, gardening, doing chores, etc. I get as much validation and sense of accomplishment doing weekly chores now than I did after pitches at a studio.
I'm still dealing with that now. For a while it hurt a lot more, because it felt like I was purposeful but then crumpled n tossed out when the industry destabilized. I'm gradually overcoming it, my life is more than just my usefulness to others (including companies), by focusing on my own work.
The legal minutia is iffy, but from what we've gathered, essentially since Bob had no will and his family has neither any interest or care about his property, his possessions/home become an intestate estate and anything on the property will essentially be taken by them and disposed of.
The late great Bob McKnight's artwork is at risk of being seized and destroyed if something isn't done about it. His dearest friend and mentee Rob Griggs has set up a GoFundMe to help save his property, including his extensive art archives. Bob LOVED animation and it's history, help preserve it!
