The same is true of wind power, and to a lesser extent, tidal generation... follow the money.

You can already see the oil spills. I don’t think the planet can survive rump.

And the toxic relationship will last forever! The threat of terroristic attacks against US has increased…..just in time for our 250 anniversary🤬

I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s democratic. Anything that capitalists commodify is inherently not democratic.

But it’s still a great choice. And it esp works well in places where power infrastructure has been destroyed by imperial war. For instance, many Syrians use solar power now.

That's why the Nazis hate it. They can't control the sun. Fascism NEEDS war. It CANNOT exist without war, without enemies to hate and kill.

I bet the Sahara could power the whole of Africa if it had enough panels on it. Maybe even sell electricity to Europe...

🚨 Indonesia is greenlighting one of the largest deforestation projects on Earth: 5 MILLION acres of Papua’s pristine forest cleared for sugarcane. That’s an area bigger than Wales, gone for bioethanol and crops.

1.8M hectares gone in Brazil. 200K in Indonesia. Just in 2024.
Global forest loss: 10M hectares/year.
Ecocide drives 12-15% of global GHG emissions.
Rising heat today → dead zones tomorrow.
Reforest. Enforce. Act. #StopEcocide Who’s in?

Every major war of the last 100 years had fossil fuels in the background.
Coups for oil. Occupations for gas. Blood for barrels.
Solar flips the script: energy independence lives on your roof. No army required. #EnergySecurity #Renewables

The Earth doesn’t need saving. We do.
The planet will survive us. It’s run 4.5 billion years without humans. Earth Day is about saving the conditions that keep us alive: stable climate, clean water, breathable air. Protect your home. #OnlyOneEarth

"The coolest thing about solar energy is that you don't need to invade another country to get it.
Solar power is democratic, abundant, and borderless. No pipelines. No tankers. No resource wars. Just the sun shining on everyone.

Earth Day isn’t a birthday party for the planet. It’s a yearly audit.
Air: still polluted. Water: still poisoned. Forests: still falling.
Celebration without accountability is just branding. Demand policy, not just posts. #EarthDay2026

“Net zero by 2050” means nothing if we let corporations commit ecocide in 2026.
You can’t offset a dead ocean. You can’t plant your way out of a poisoned aquifer. Prevention > promises. Criminalise ecocide

1 million species face extinction because we treat ecosystems like infinite warehouses. They’re not. They’re communities we depend on.
Education is resistance. Action is non-negotiable. Demand #EcocideLaw now.

Oil spills, deforestation, mass poisoning of rivers.
These aren't accidents. They're choices.
And without #Ecocide laws, they're often legal.
Make the planet a protected victim.
Ecocide must be criminalised! ⚖️

Killing a person is a crime. Killing a river, a forest, or an entire ecosystem? Still legal in most countries.
When destruction is this scale, fines aren't enough. Ecocide must be criminalised at the international level. Make destruction a crime, not a business cost.

⛰️ Trees anchor soil. Without them, erosion rates can skyrocket by 100x.
🌍 Deforestation already causes 24 billion tonnes of fertile topsoil loss each year – turning lush land into barren desert.
Result: landslides, crop failure, and hunger.

🌲 Forests absorb 2.6 billion tonnes of CO₂ annually – about 1/3 of fossil fuel emissions.
🔥 When we burn or cut them, that carbon releases back. Deforestation accounts for 12% of global greenhouse gases.
Protecting trees = protecting our climate.

🌳 Deforestation destroys 80% of Earth's land-based species' homes.
🦜 Up to 137 species vanish EVERY DAY due to habitat loss.
If we keep clearing forests at this rate, 28,000 species could go extinct in the next 25 years.

Good evening everyone.
Three pillars of climate-smart agriculture:

🌱 Productivity – more food per drop of rain
🛡️ Adaptation – withstand droughts & floods
⬇️ Emissions – farm without harming the planet

That's the future. Let's build it together.

Medicinal resources from forests: 25% of modern drugs come from rainforest plants. Losing them means losing cures. 🌿💊 On a scale from 1-10, how worried are you about the disappearance of our remaining forests & their resources? #NaturalMedicine #BiodiversityLoss

We call ourselves "intelligent," yet the humblest fungus can decompose waste and build soil, a tree can harness solar energy, and a wetland can purify water—all without toxic byproducts. True intelligence is learning from these systems, not bulldozing them.
