At some point you are going to have a moment where you think "Does this suck? Am I just wasting my time? Why would anyone read this? " that's the devil talking, he's telling you that you need to sleep and drink water, and then reread your comic with clear eyes. You'll remember why you're doing it.

New Year’s Card: Two Female Mice Playing Shuttlecock and Battledore (1912) This charming color lithograph from 1912, part of the Leonard A. Lauder Collection, serves as a celebratory New Year’s card, likely commemorating the Year of the Rat (or Mouse) in the Japanese zodiac. The transition from the Meiji to the Taishō era brought a flourish of creative postcard designs that blended traditional auspicious symbols with playful, modern graphic sensibilities. The image depicts two anthropomorphic mice dressed in elegant, flowing kimonos, engaged in the traditional New Year's game of Hanetsuki (battledore and shuttlecock). The upper mouse wears a deep teal kimono adorned with a white blossom pattern, while the lower mouse is dressed in a light blue garment featuring the kanji character for "fortune" or "blessing" (fuku, 福).
