Elo is short for "Elohim", which is Hebrew for "Gods" or "Divinity". I'm not very religious, rather I named her after one of my favorite musicians. I strongly recommend giving her music a listen!

Elo, my new leopard gecko, peering out from a terrarium decoration. She is a normal morph, meaning she is yellow along her back with dark brown spots and white along her belly.

Another picture of Elo hanging out inside her cork bark hide. In this picture you can see she has an issue with her right eye. This has been examined by a vet and she's been diagnosed with having a genetic eye defect. Her pupil won't open/shut like the other eye, but she's not in pain from it and she can likely still see out of this eye, just with degraded vision. The reason I say this is because she is using both eyes to observe me. Since I'm unfamiliar to her, I believe she would definitely favor her good eye to look at me if she couldn't see out of her bad eye.

This past Saturday I ended up with my first pet reptile! I'd like you to meet Elo! She's an approx. 5 year old Leopard Gecko whom I've assumed responsibility for. She's already showing her personality and I'm absolutely in love 🥰

It's a known issue that they claim has been at least partially fixed and should be resolved by the next desktop app builds. On Windows you can screenshare, but not with system audio (bug). On Linux it's the same but audio simply hasn't been implemented yet and I think there's Wayland issues too.

It's still on 0.0.8, I asked around yesterday if there's a possible ETA for the next build, but didn't get an answer. Fair enough, I'll just wait it out.

Just wanted to share my gratitude for all the well wishes and congratulations on mine and Aster's engagement! We're so blessed to be surrounded by such great friends and acquaintances! It was a long time coming, and we would have done it sooner if it weren't for the distance and our finances getting in the way of meeting in person as often as we'd like. Aster's mother is the reason this happened in the first place, and I'm so grateful she was able to arrange this trip! Us getting engaged is the first step in transforming our long-distance relationship into a marriage with shared housing. The plan is for Aster to move in with me here in Sweden. There's still a lot of unknowns, but each day from here is a step closer to sharing the rest of our lives together, and I'm excited for all of it, the good and the bad. I, like many others, am struggling mentally, and especially so in the last number of years. Getting engaged hasn't fixed that, but it has allowed me to look down at my ring when things are tough as a reminder of why I'm still pushing ahead and who I'm still fighting for. I see a light on the horizon. Thank you.

Something MINDBLOWING I found out during Aster's trip to Sweden is that some variants of Cheerios in the US are gluten free, but NONE in Sweden are. Diabolical.
