I think there's a difference between being stronger and being "gifted."

African thinking never contemplates something like “the end of the world.”

That is not how we understand time. It cannot be.

We understand catastrophe. We live with it. We die from it. A few survive it. We do not call it the end of the world.

I grow weary of “the world is ending” proclamations from people who never imagine Africa exists.

I think this is it. The book 'Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents' is written for Gen X audiences (w. some millennial overlap).

If your Boomer parents lacked emotional maturity/grounding to you'll constantly look externally for it and be VERY vulnerable to fads/trends/pedagogues.
