Do Serve and Tell (DSAT) gays are kind of insufferable because none of them seem to have ANY awareness of queer community/history before DADT was rescinded.
The Fitness Gaysβ’οΈ imo are a more interesting and varied group but there's still a lot of overlap with them and the DSATs--too much!! π©
Metamorphosis.

I think there's a difference between being stronger and being "gifted."
But I haven't seen the movie yet so don't have a full picture.
African thinking never contemplates something like βthe end of the world.β
That is not how we understand time. It cannot be.
We understand catastrophe. We live with it. We die from it. A few survive it. We do not call it the end of the world.
So be it. ππΎππΎ
I grow weary of βthe world is endingβ proclamations from people who never imagine Africa exists.
If that Africa-excluding world ends, so be it.
We are glad not to be part of that world.

βI need to help,β Sam said.
βJust turn around and not look. Letβs get back to work,β Sam recalled the manager saying.
βAs Sam stood in disbelief watching the woman give chest compressions, the supervisor softly nudged Sam, tears in the managerβs eyes now, too.β
Local journalism is critical:
This sounds very rough but isn't an appropriate response to Kelly.
If you're looking for supports/resources, please check out Thema Bryant's book Homecoming or her weekly podcast (same name). Both may help you feel healthfully connected to a healing community.
Please take care of yourself. ππΎππΎ
I think this is it. The book 'Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents' is written for Gen X audiences (w. some millennial overlap).
If your Boomer parents lacked emotional maturity/grounding to you'll constantly look externally for it and be VERY vulnerable to fads/trends/pedagogues.
I saw Cameron Diaz in that Back In Action movie and yes, we deserve her and the others back on screen
Very unlikely that'll happen in anyone older than Gen X's lifetime.
Even in Chicago we've replaced like 3-6% of them and I think they started four or five years ago.. π¬
I like that he left something to the imagination. Very discerning. Very... diplomatic. π
Found him or found the pickles?
There's a new movie!?!? Is it animated or live action? π
