Funny you say that, its almost fron 40 years of practice. Ive been drawing and painting since I was a child.

Thus definitely was an experiment on how far I could go with fabric effects. I probably wont be going this far in detail in a while. Thankfully acrylic allows me to cover up my mistakes.

I normally paint on a 14 x 17 Bristol board.

Thanks, It was a real experiment making thre skin color gold, and I actually never really use purple and this shade of blue. I really broke from my normal with this one.

Its a lot cheaper than canvas ! I dont feel so bad if I have to throw away a painting thats not coming togeather.

Thanks, I actually started with a metallic gold paint, but it looked too yellow, so I mixed it with metallic copper and a little orange to get the "gold" color thats looked right.

Yes, I use Krylon fixative spray. I get it from Walmart.

Its actually an acrylic painting, I mainly use the soft pastel sticks to smooth out some of the transitions and to cover up mistakes. Once done, I spray with a fixative spray, which I get from Walmart.
