Well thanks! 😉
Joan Rivers once handed me her coffee before going on a live TV segment. “Honey, can you take this for me?”
At least she asked nicely.

Adding that to my queue. I hadn’t know him outside of Porcupine Tree until I heard his Yes remixes, which I quite enjoyed.
Gene Hackman (RIP) was my favorite actor -- versatile, down to earth. He always served the movie, the art. His role in Coppola's “The Conversation” is haunting, never more so than when his Harry Coyle succumbs to the mounting paranoia and plays a sax eulogy amid the carnage he has wrought.
Of his many great performances, that one is my favorite.
Wondering if Gene rubbed that in while shooting their scenes for Young Frankenstein?
“I was gonna make espresso.”
Yeah - I only work directly with a director every few years, and now it’s all via email/postings. Sometimes I get just a recap phone call after the shoot and don’t hear from them again. And even that isn’t very frequent.
Full disclosure - I work at an agency.
Whose storage solution are you using? We’ve got a Google Drive process and I hit the 750GB daily upload cap on the regular.
And of course, it can vary - like if they’re shooting for many days obvi it takes more time. I ballpark two days for a 1-2 days shoot.
And if only a :37 or :42 had been an acceptable commercial deliverable, oh the time it would have saved over the course of my career. ;)
After ingest, I’d give two days to a 60 before sharing with anyone else. I get one project including a 60 roughly once a year (of course, it then needs to be a 30, 15 and sometimes a 6 as well).
Always.
Perhaps you’re ambimousetrous?

What most worries me is with all the bat sh!t and/or vile things we do hear about - what else is going on that we DON’T hear about? 😬
Center City Philly businesses… if you have an awning which is still standing in the morning, may I suggest you either fortify or remove it before the Super Bowl?
Pole greasing optional.
I think he’s on the Super Bowl crew as well. Ugh.
As a Philly boy I always felt a connection due to the time he spent here in college. Well, that and his films I saw while in film school.
Maybe not my biggest inspiration but Eraserhead and Blue Velvet were certainly films I connected with while in film school.

I liked the Netflix series (and the other Defenders ones except for Iron Fist). Looking forward to this.
I never got to use one but I did cut my senior film on a Steenbeck. Glad I had the experience.
Maybe they’re being subversive?
Not totally surprised about her being there, but the Village People?!?

For the longest time I considered it just a novelty or something only my grandparents enjoyed (like on Lawrence Welk) but maybe 25 years ago I stumbled across two artists whose use of the accordion made me hear it in a new context.
For my next #DesertIslandJukebox entry (ty @soundopinions.bsky.social )…
The new year marks a cycle and makes me think of coming back to old things with fresh ears, which brings me to… the accordion.
