They do not need to increase prices for air travel to afford to pay their flight attendants. If they do, don't mistake it for anything other than greed, even if they try to use FA pay as a scapegoat.
If air travel prices increase as a result of paying the flight attendants better (it's still nowhere close to FAIR), then blame the airlines. Air Canada made over $1.3 billion in net income (profit) last year. They can afford to pay full price for every second of work and still be ahead $1b.

One part about Carney's "owners of Canada" comment that I don't see getting talked about is that by phrasing it that way, Carney made it clear that the decision isn't even up to him, and if Trump even wants to think that "buying Canada" is possible, he would have to appeal to the Canadian people.
Honestly, I think Carney walked the tightrope well, between standing up to Trump but not aggravating him. I guess I have to admit that as much as I wanted Carney to be a bit more hardass, this was definitely the better approach.

Many of us defended Disney when people criticized them of "woke agenda" and "pandering". Well, fair is fair, I admit I was wrong. Disney proved that they had no conviction behind their message, and they were pandering then, as they are pandering now. I guess Disney will always seek out fair weather.

Just arrived to a screening of Reservoir Dogs. I can now finally say that I've seen all the Tarantino movies in the theatre. RD is the only one I didn't see in its first run. I'm also not counting True Romance because Tarantino didn't direct it, but I do hope to cross that off my list someday too.
