Sorry no. You're right voter suppression is real. And I feel for the people wherever this happened.

Having said that, the numbers are way way bigger than some voter suppression.

MORE PEOPLE of voting age chose not to vote than voted for either Trump or Harris. We have a lazy electorate.

You're right. Their bigotry is greater than their understanding of voting against their self interests. It doesn't show any signs of turning around. Basically the culture war(s) have supplanted the political battles.

Great post. Honestly, I still fear for a woman running as a Presidential candidate in this nation.

We KNOW we're a racist country. It's a clearly understood that MAGA and Trumpism is a direct result of Obama's presidency.

But are we ready to admit HOW misogynistic we are?

Amongst many other reasons, the passing of Leslie Jordan in 2022 was a tragedy that meant he would never live to play the ignominious Graham.

Listen for the overlap. The overlap is when those on the right agree with those on the left. It happens.

Individual rights used to be something the Right fought for. Now the new Right, which is MAGA, is all too quick to see individual rights be removed because they simply lack education.

I always ask me Republican "friends" ... Do you think that one day the 1% just figured out how to work harder?

The immense shift of wealth in this nation is no accident. Corporate Tax breaks, loopholes, Capital Gains tax breaks, loopholes. This is not rocket science folks.

Encouraging, but a long way from victory or defeating Citizens United. Keep pushing. This is arguably the single largest issue that opposes American democracy. But read the article.

Unpack this, slowly, word by word... and there's at least a pretty good road map to solving much of the world's problems.

Having seen Ella Fitzgerald and the Clash, Tony Bennett and the Buzzcocks, Sarah Vaughan and the Ramones, Bob Dylan and Kraftwerk... I'd say everyone is chasing second place in the most talented artist to ever grace the airwaves. Stevie is a genuine genius.

Good call. Sometimes, simply turning your back on a given technology is the best move.

The security council has allowed unchecked power and brutality. To protect peace, we must reform the UN | Luiz Inรกcio Lula da Silva A world without rules is an insecure world. Itโ€™s time for multilateralism that truly reflects the global order, says the president of Brazil, Luiz Inรกcio Lula da Silva

One of the many things WE as a nation have failed to enact, are laws that prohibit a felon from being elected to higher office period. Could have done that during Biden, but no...

Also, the name Rick Scott comes to mind.

Legally, there are many holes in the Constitution that need to be 'filled.'

Sadly, this is true. Most forget that the actual winner of the last election, Trump v. Harris, was "Nobody."

More eligible voters simply failed to show up at the polls, or decided to not bother with choosing a President, than voted for either candidate.

Apathy, is the enemy.

As someone who fell in love with the Olympics and several international sports at an early age I can say that Jessie Diggins is amongst our finest-ever athletes to represent the country and what the American spirit stands for. Reposting.

So, trust me, I'm OK with that too. It's just not a winning strategy. Sad, but true.

Still not seeing this as a winning strategy. It's dangerously avoiding the real issue. Democrats became, against their will, the party of trans athletes and open borders. They lost MI and PA, the two largest Union states.

The failure to understand where it went wrong is astonishing.

Judge Strikes Down Kennedyโ€™s Vaccine Policies

There are still many many cracks in our national governance which we've taken for granted. We had 4 years under Biden, but apparently the decision was made not to pursue a grand defensive strategy. A major victory today shows that all is not lost.

Amerians have NO IDEA how corrupt their government is. No other modern developed nation allows this kind of access to government by businesses and / or billionaires. NONE.

So many of us owe your father thanks. My father fought in WW2. He had thoughts of becoming a priest, but instead came back and taught American History and Civics. He lived to see Obama elected. It was like his American Dream realized. He missed Trump. It would've crush his heart.
