Just going to repost this roughly once a month until it actually happens
Part 1 of my exploring a medical mystery that nearly took me out last year.
Of course I'm very glad to be much more well today, but even more than that I'm glad I preserved my text messages because I'd wildly misremembered some details.

In LA to help my partner with some family stuff; the first and foremost difference between this city and my home turf (besides the fact that July Is Nice Weather, already a shocking turn of events) is just how many dogs there are. Californians bring their dogs into places I'd never have dreamed.
Reminds me of this enterprising individual I saw the other day. I… I don't think you built that.
*"MORE than just". Oh for an edit button.
A page from THRILLING SCIENCE. The art is a collage of surgical and scientific imagery.

Some pages I'm particularly proud of from this little family project:
I designed a project alongside my dad—he did the words, I did the art. Science fiction concepts that make your spaceship game than just a heist/western/sports drama with beautiful chrome details.

Pretty big deal. @bookshop-org.bsky.social is selling ebooks now. You can now support indies while purchasing digital books.

Having lain in bed for three days with some terrible, horrible, no-good sickness, I did manage to at least *think* about work for fifteen minutes today before I fell asleep again.
Bird sanctuary sans owl:
Post-thanksgiving walk in the bird sanctuary where I gladly froze my fingers off for the pleasure of observing a barred owl sitting fluffed up right beside the trail.
I'm a Chicago game designer and editor, both tiny indie games and larger games like Vampire: the Masquerade.
Cold Sun's themes are terror, scarcity, and survival; which is why I think today is perfect to announce it's release date: November 30th!

I made an Oz-inspired suite of backgrounds for
@melsonia.bsky.social's TROIKA! game. Do you want to be a gentle crocodile, an erudite creature grown to giant size, or a lost star, exploring Quadling Country?

The pod floats in orbit around an unnamed gas giant’s moon. When hailed, a simple recorded message plays: "Do not attempt contact with the planetary body below. It is a place of extreme peril and despair. This is the final resting place of John Kierney, captain of the Aeolus."
POD BURIAL is the second entry in the FIFTEEN GRAVES series—it's a 6-page story seed with a 4-page microfiction for your roleplaying game.

The local legends are vague: a woman died up there atop the twin-hill to save her lover, two centuries ago; in someone’s grandfather’s time a young girl went up the hill and never came back down. They’re wrong. What’s buried there is much older.
GRAVE OF THE IRON WITCH is the first entry in my FIFTEEN GRAVES collection of story seeds. Each seed features a new burial site, and a new genre—from high fantasy to occult horror to wacky hijinks. Look for the second Grave on February 5th!
