Finished my Street Fighter tatted lacework project.

Mounted Chun-Li and Bison onto some nice 1000gsm card, and added the iconic Raul Julia quote from the Street Fighter movie.

A hand crafted lacework comprising of 1523 small interconnected rings of cotton thread in various colours. The lace design is a pixel art sprite of M. Bison from the game 'SNK vs Capcom' on the Neo Geo Pocket Colour.

This time it's M. Bison. The original sprite comes from 'SNK vs Capcom: The Match of the Millennium'.

The lace is made from cotton thread knotted into 1523 interconnected rings.

Final step is to mount Bison and Chun-Li onto some nice card stock.

I think I found a photo of it on Pinterest, and Wow it's stunning. It must have taken ages to make. The description says the technique used is filet tatting. After I finish my current project, I may have to learn a new technique :)

Here's a close up of the reverse side of the lace. You can see each ring is made of 12 stitches and the way the interlock with each other.

Next I have to craft her opponent, 1523 rings to go.
