I have that game, started playing it, but never finished. I guess I should get back to it some day, but I’ve only been playing BG3 non-stop for the last year.

@dmsamuel.bsky.social is back! It's time for the Twelve Days of Edition Wars. @brandesstoddard.bsky.social and Sam are talking about the 2024 DMG chapter by chapter, and I'm really happy to hear them get started on this, like I am with every "Twelve Days" they've done over the last few years.

In one week I have knee surgery and will be non-weight bearing for 6 months. I got my crutches and brace the other day. Since then I have practiced basic tasks once a day. I need to put a chair between the couch and the bathroom to stop and rest. That whole trek on one leg is exhausting.

Good for one shots?

I forget what we did first now. But I’m back in the same boat. In a week or so I need to run a one shot game. Might do a D&D with the updated rules, or Torg, or Cthulhu Awakens this time.

Nice…I wonder if the audio book has a supplemental pdf. I never notice when they do.

My group is about to finish a long D&D campaign, before we start the next we will do some short runs of other games. What should we play first: FAGE, Cthulhu Awakens, Fiasco, Blades in the Dark, Star Wars SAGA, or Torg: Eternity?

Oh, I’m familiar with the box…but I don’t want to spend too much money all at once…and I do have free access to a laser cutter, so…

3D if I have them, flat plastic stand ups if I don’t, theater of the mind after that, then 2D tokens if I have to.

For a moment there was a 3D model out there so people could 3D print their own, but I think it disappeared. Although there are similar models still around.

And they are stunning, aren’t they. Maybe I’ll have to see if you can join in on a recording about it in awhile.

I did about a week in the boundary waters near Ely years ago. I Hope you had as much fun now as I had back then.

Ahhh…Mongul would get along even worse! I missed that my first time seeing the post. I can’t imagine the threat of death would be enough to gain his cooperation.

Has Freeze ever been in a SS incarnation before? I can’t foresee that going well. I mean, I guess that’s a theme for the Squad, but I can’t see that going well with him for different than normal reasons.

The kids and I have recently gotten into SmashUp. Fun game but we’ve reached a point where we have too many expansions to fit into the box as provided…so today I went to my campus maker space and made a new box insert and I could not be more pleased with how well it fits in the box.

Last week I did session 0 for a new campaign with my kids. Today the oldest had homework so we didn’t have time (played Marvel SmashUp as our backup). Next week the oldest is working and the youngest is out of town…why can’t I play RPGs with my kids anymore!
