As an Eagles fan, I definitely DO NOT want that to happen.
Funny how campaigning to the right isn't as much a problem for certain people. But campaigning to the left is.
This is eugenics.
I am so sorry.
New goal: Watch every movie directed by Rob Reiner during the course of a year (or in less time, depending on availability). I'll start this May.
Rob Reiner is probably my favorite American director. Stand By Me is one of my 2 favorite movies.
(Tied with The Lion In Winter [1968]).
I worked one summer at the IMAX theater in the Smithsonians natural history museum. I noticed that throughout the mall a ton of hats colored Phillies-red. Far more than any other MLB team including the home team.
In a crowded Ten Forward, Will Riker stands in the middle of the room playing his trombone. To the right is Zoot of the Electric Mayhem playing along on saxophone. Beverly Crusher is standing just behind Riker looking impressed. A man in civilian clothing is just behind her looking like he is very much enjoying the entertainment. Geordi La Forge is standing to the far right, arms crossed as he listens to the duo.

On this day in 1999, people were shocked that a mass shooting could take place in a school. Now it just happens anywhere at anytime, because inanimate objects became more important than people.
The cover to Action Comics Vol 1 #1, released in stores on April 18, 1938.
Happy Anniversary, Action Comics. On this day in 1938, the 1st issue hit stores and it featured the debuts of Superman, Lois Lane, Zatara, and Tex Thomson (future Mister America/Americommando). It also debuted Tigress, DC's first recurring villainess.
She thought her whiteness would save her. More proof racists are stupid.
I was so annoyed about wrong information on the internet that I decided to make a video about how non-trinary neutrinos move and what quantum tunneling is. Andy Weir may be more bestselling than me but I'm more expert lol 🧪⚛️

A remarkable clear explanation of the difference between non-interacting and quantum tunnelling.
Sci-fi authors - do hit up a physicist (I guess it doesn't *have* to be @chanda.blacksky.app ) to ask about these things. Often real science is way cooler and weirder than you might think.
Just watched a video of Andy Weir describing neutrinos and he says they quantum tunnel through pretty much everything and I don’t feel this is an appropriate use of ”quantum tunneling”
Anyway why ask a woman physicist when you can ask a dude novelist
I guarantee every Indigenous person she encountered does not like or respect her.
Good choice with a chili cheese dog.
I'm more curious about what kind of beer you have there.

As a therapist and a healthcare worker, chatbots are becoming a public health crisis, and I’m tired of hearing people who don’t see the harm every day explain why this is totally fine and just like people pearl-clutching over cellphones. It’s getting worse and we haven’t scratched the surface.
When it was an actual sci-fi channel!
As a Trekkie, I liked when Brent Spiner guest starred and had scenes with Saul Rubinek. Saul had guest starred on a popular episode of Star Trek: TNG & his scenes were mostly with Spiner.
What service is the favorite at the Kelly household for watching old movies?
fuck that poser
Jfc. I'm so fed up with the reverse racism claims. All rational people
know there is no such thing.

new bucket list unlocked for my adhd craft friends:
the endangered craft i want to learn is weaving bulrush mats. these used to be all over ojibwe wigwams, used for sitting and kneeling on, everyone would have known how to make them
i was obsessed with them when i worked at the historical society, and basically no MN ojibwe people can make them now
Good luck!
It seems to be everywhere & I don't like it. I'm usually very pro new technology. But I've been learning more about the environmental & human costs of that even when AI (which we know IS worse) is not involved.
