John Swinney democratically elected First Minister says invite should be scrapped. He wasn't even consulted before Keir Starmer invited him to visit the country that he is elected to lead. Devolution is just window dressing when Labour are not in charge of it.

So Scotland, another £100 on your energy bill, third price rise in a row....Labour was going to reduce our bills by £300 per year, weren't they ?

This was Glasgow in the 70s under labour and we had oil in the North Sea, nothing much changed in the preceding 30 years as all the oil revenues went South to pay for Londons finance district, cross rail, M25 and City Airport, we were left with the ten worst slum areas in the Uk, now we have none.

'The cheek of him': People of Alloa react to King Charles visit to food bank THE National asked the people of Alloa what they thought about King Charles' visit to a food bank and community centre in the town.

when Mr Windsor visits a foodbank in London, does he wear a pearly kings outfit?
does he wear a flat cap and carry a whippet in Lancashire? No?
Then why the cosplay tartan aristo gear when he visits somewhere in Scotland?

Keir Starmer says Treasury will be ruthless on public spending cuts Chancellor’s tough approach to public spending ‘absolutely right’, says PM after cost of government borrowing rose

Keir Starmer says UK Treasury will be "ruthless" on public spending cuts.

It's continuation of Tory austerity.

How many will be deprived of food, housing, healthcare, education ...?

MP’s second jobs are institutionalised bribery. They should be banned. 'Preventing MPs from selling their souls to the highest bidder is a necessary step in democratising parliament.'

Too many UK MPs take second jobs, serve corporations, get rich.

Claim it helps to serve people.

Oh ... Hardly any volunteer to work for charities, hospices, food banks, housing associations ... there is no money in it.

Must ban second jobs for MPs.

Can I ask why anyone in Scotland thought it would be a big laugh to vote in Labour just to spite the SNP???
Anyone who thought that SLAB would be able to stand up to their London master's & demand X Y & Z. They have zero interest in Scotland & would gladly hand all these policies back to London.

Andrew Tickell: Anas Sarwar is in a mess of tactical moves drowning in partisanship AS a child of the 1990s, the TV seemed to spend a lot of time trying to persuade me to buy plastic tat. Bendy toys were particularly in vogue for a…

'The problem here isn’t that Scottish Labour finds itself explaining its policies.
It’s that what limited policy commitments there are are inexplicable and incoherent, with no obvious consistency or strategic coherence.'

Have never felt more justified in calling someone a right-wing charlatan.

Thomas Kerr off to Reform - a so-called “moderate” Tory now in Farage’s band.

Pure self-preservation from someone whose party is on the out in Glasgow.

It's very obvious now that the only capital investments Westminster will make in Scotland are those which boost the extraction of Scottish resources. It's almost as though they expect us to become independent & are trying to squeeze as much out of us as they can before we leave.

During last year’s election campaign, Anas Sarwar told me: “read my lips, no austerity under Labour”.

The reports of Labour’s planned cuts are deeply concerning, and any more Westminster austerity would push more people into poverty.

Scottish government ministers have a wage rise freeze dating back to 2008. A minister should be paid £99,516pa but actually receives £81,449pa
voluntarily paying the difference back into public finances. I wonder why we hear so little about this and whether this would ever happen at Westminster?

Russell Findlay is an even more loathesome slimebag than Douglas Ross, that's quite an achievement. The Tories seem to attract deeply unpleasant individuals. Nasty people for a nasty party.

50+% Scots support indy. Scotland has 38 daily & weekly newspapers but only 1 supports the constitutional position favoured by half the population. Most are opposed but Unionists claim it's the pro indy paper which is 'biased'. Scotland's media does not reflect the population it claims to serve.

If one ‘equal partner’ in a union can drag the other out of the EU against its will, but won’t ‘allow’ the other ‘equal partner’ to hold a democratic referendum that its citizens voted for, then it’s not a ‘union of equals’ at all. #Indyclan #IndependenceIsNormal #Scotland
