I have the great fortune of this being a bittersweet move; my colleagues at the University of Utah are some of the kindest, smartest, and most generous people working in this profession. I am forever grateful to them and this job that's been my home for the past decade.

A bit of exciting personal news: Starting January 1st, I will be an Associate Professor of Sociology at The Ohio State University! I'm thrilled to be back with a Pop Center and to continue my run of working at universities that rejected me from their Phd programs (UIC was the first... lol).

I swear to god, the lack of many cis-women’s ability to recognize that all the laws about policing trans women and girls are as much about enforcing traditional gender roles for THEM TOO. I just hate it so much.
