Keeping my insulin cool

The stars aligned. I just changed my sensor, site, and battery all in the same day.

Yeah. I guess it's just FAFO. Gotta love diabetes.

Yeah, just need to figure out what "under-bolus a bit" looks like. Minus 15g? 75%?

Thank you!!! SmartGuard blocking certain features is frustrating but this hypo did happen while I was out of smartguard due to a sensor change/warmup period...

Im not sure if this is an option with my medtronic 780g system.

The fact that I am learning this the hard way is making me livid. I could have died. No one thought to tell the T1D that the pain meds could cause hypos??? WTF

Jfc. TIL heavy doses of NSAIDs and certain pain meds can cause hypoglycemia. I just bolused accurately for breakfast and dropped to 48 πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

#doc #t1d any tips? Bolus 50%? 75%?

I keep thinking back to it wishing I had said something. Like, "excuse me"? Or something to indicate that that's not an okay thing to say. I think I just stayed quiet.

So I had my first surgery experience a few days ago and despite one rude comment I received, I'm really glad i had an attentive anesthesiologist who took the time to discuss my bg management and allowed me to keep my devices on through the procedure. Everything went smoothly, in range the whole time

Right? Who says that. To a fellow diabetic. As a nurse who should know the diff between t1 and t2. Smh

I can't get over the fact that a nurse said to me, "I have diabetes too, except mine is controlled."

I was 198 and in for SURGERY, so I had been trying to stay out of hypo territory during the fasting period.

I've managed to nibble at enough that I shouldn't go low but damn I'm uncomfy

I fucked up... I ate too much salad before my meal so now I'm full, only halfway through, but I already bolused πŸ˜… #doc #t1d

It's okay to not be okay. The tile showing a conversation between two people:

A man says: Managing diabetes can be so overwhelming.
A woman says: It's normal to feel that way. I'm here for you.

Managing #diabetes can feel overwhelming - connecting with people with similar experiences can provide comfort. πŸ‘‰Remember, you are not alone.

It's gotten so bad lately. I dont accept calls from unidentified numbers. Except right now, when I'm trying to figure out medical procedure bullshit, and still none of the providers numbers are identified when they call.

A fourth one failed. I dont care what how many green lights my transmitter flashes, is this NOT a sensor issue.

Can't wait to call and request replacements tonight. This shit is exhausting I just want to be in auto mode again 😭

Apparently the blood interferes with the sensor/transmitter signal, so for the past 2 days now I've gone through the whole process, only for the sensor signal to fail after maybe 1-2 hours of readings.

At this rate it's probably going to be 3.

Idk what's going on. Apparently bleeding can interfere but how tf do you insert the sensor without bleeding?! I've never had an issue with bleeders and thought we all agreed they give better readings πŸ˜‚

Update: it's not the transmitter, it's the sensors. And I've already wasted at least 2. 😑

Same lol but supplies. Gonna hit my deductible so quick this year πŸ™ƒ

And it's not even multiple supplies. That's just for a 90 day supply of one item.
