Black unemployment: 7.1% overall — vs. 4.3% nationally.

355,000 federal jobs gone since October 2024. −18,000 in March alone. That's 11.8% of the entire federal workforce.
Discouraged workers: 510,000 — up 39% in a single month.
The March 2026 jobs report just dropped. Here's the breakdown. 👇🏽
+178,000 jobs added. 4.3% unemployment.
This is not as big a rebound
February was revised to −133K. The 3-month average is just 68K/month. And ~35K of March's health care gain was physicians returning from a strike.
Unilever is merging its foods business w/McCormick AND announced a global hiring freeze at all levels effective immediately.
