Just how bad is this spring’s drought?? The worst in US History, going all the way back to the 1890s, even worse than Dust Bowl springs. And #Florida is among the worst in the nation… 1/
Since Viktor Orbán’s approach to governance in Hungary was cited by the Heritage Foundation as their blueprint for #Project2025 (kettering.org/the-global-d...) it seems like a good time to re-up this piece in Aug '24 piece in @thebulletin.org: thebulletin.org/2024/08/proj...

This is so sick. Israel struck apartment buildings, medical facilities, even a crowd of mourners by a cemetery, per FT reporting
OPINION: Why on earth would the First Lady want to voluntarily raise her husband’s worst scandal? It seems crazy—but it shows how low he has fallen.

"The Military ... is looking forward, actually, to its next Conquest" should be its own news cycle.
Green line graph time series of average sea surface temperature anomalies for each March from 1900 through 2026. There is large interannual variability, but an overall long-term increasing trend. Anomalies are computed relative to a 1981-2010 baseline.
Last month was the *2nd* warmest March on record for the average global sea surface temperature...

✅ Yes, this photo shows Israeli officials wearing noose-shaped lapel pins as a show of support for the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners convicted of lethal attacks. It was taken in December 2025.

Graph showing daily global mean near-surface air temperatures for 2026. This is also compared to the daily data from the 1971-2000 average, 1981-2010 average, and 1991-2020 average. Annotations are also shown to the current year with the other years from 1940 to 2025 and a threshold of 2°C above the 1850-1900 pre-industrial level. There is a strong seasonal cycle, with a peak during the boreal summer season. There is a long-term warming trend. 2024 is also indicated, which was the warmest year on record. Data is from ECMWF ERA5 reanalysis and updated through 23 March 2026.
The average global temperature actually just reached new record high levels for this time of year. As I pointed out earlier this week, global mean sea surface temperatures were also rising quite sharply. Arctic sea-ice extent is still a record low too.

🚨 It’s official: 2026 had the lowest annual maximum Arctic sea ice extent on record - essentially tied with last year’s record low.
Climate change is reshaping the Arctic, and it's all throughout the year.

Ces soupçons de manipulation des marchés visant l’entourage de l’administration Trump reviennent de plus en plus souvent.

Market manipulation. The timing of Trump threats (usually Friday nights) then backing down (usually early Monday mornings) on war and tariffs tell you all you need to know.
One of the most disgusting things I've ever read

See what I mean... it's MID MARCH! 🫠
107 in #Phoenix today would beat the monthly record by 7 degrees. The odds of that happening on any given March is roughly 1-in-8500!! Now this is based on the entire period of record. It is of course much more likely today due to climate change. #heatwave
