Reporter: What do you make of Republicans saying that Virginia—

AOC: Wah wah wah.

We have asked Republicans for 10 years to ban partisan gerrymandering. And for 10 years, Republicans have said no.

What they’re just mad at is that they have been accustomed to a Democratic Party that rolls over.

Like I don't think it'll take over a year to get a final deal, but a month? Two months? No matter how you slice it, it's bad.

Trump can spike the football on a framework agreement like it's a full peace deal. But until that full deal is signed, Iran probably isn't opening the strait. At least not really- they'll let like 10 ships a day out, paying tolls. They can't trust Trump to not renege once the pressure's off.

It's literally impossible to get a 'final deal' by this weekend or whenever. Maybe you get a framework for future negotiations. But it took 2 YEARS to negotiate the JCPOA. Peace treaties are complex and detailed.

Even now, Republicans could end this by working with Dems to pass a nationwide fair redistricting bill. They won't though, because they're trash.

Its not revenge anymore than fighting back when someone attacks you is. If they'd stop hitting you, you'd stop hitting back. That's not vengeance, that's self defense. I support nationwide fair redistricting, and if Republicans wanted it could be on Trump's desk with veto proof majorities next week.

I think it might be a case of the Dem party brand being toxic, but people still voting for individual Dems. I.e the old standard of 'generic D' outperforming real candidates is reversed now.

Also I rather suspect the academic achievement gap - boys now trail girls substantially in the aggregate - has a lot to do with these sorts of attitudes pushing male teachers out of primary school education.

It is bad and false to tell boys and men that they aren't and cannot be nurturers.

Thinking back on it, Thor 4 was the perfect encapsulation of it. Reusing jokes from the last one but without the context that made them funny. Like the play. Which was hilarious in Ragnarok because it was an expression of Loki's vanity. But kinda just there in Love and Thunder.

I feel like when they started churning out streaming shows they started putting a lot less creative energy into everything. Their output increased a lot, but there was too much to follow and most of it wasn't compelling enough to draw people in.

No you see the Democrats need to let Republicans gerrymander as much as they want and accept a permanent disadvantage. Not that I will criticize the Republican for this, the bar is so low for them that this doesn't even register.

The leadership in Iran tried that and now they're all dead, so...

Conservatives have a perception of men completely more demented and sexist than any strawman feminist grifters could ever think off

I keep going back and forth on whether they're posturing or serious about not going to talks. Guess we'll see soon enough.

All this makes me doubt that a deal is around the corner. This reeks of desperation.

The thing is a necessary part of those reforms is wresting control of the media from hostile billionaires.

There have been periods in US history where a party discredited itself to the point of being the semi-permanent out party- Dems post civil war for example. But that would probably require accountability and reforms to make it stick.

I don't see how a final deal is possible by Wednesday. A framework for further negotiations, maybe. Of course, I also doubt that Trump really won't extend the ceasefire.

The data divides up the US into "precincts" of 100K people each, and it is pretty cool!

For example, you can find out the horrific stat that exurban (<51-200 per km^2) and rural areas (0-50 per km^2) went up and stayed up through to 2024, while urban turnout never got close and then dived in '24

I doubt Netenyahu forced him to rename the DoD the 'Department of War'.
