Same, and I’ve found it excellent for that sort of thing (refreshing a language)

“Corpses,” Frank said. “A preposterous number of corpses.”
— Shadeslinger by Kyle Kirrin
“I do, actually,” Frank said. “Because I also want the masses to speak my name with awe and reverence. And I have several things I wish to leave behind, too.”
“Like what?” I said, sensing an opportunity to find some common ground.
And if you meant for Irish specifically, this link explains some of why I’m having fun with it: www.lexiconista.com/awesome-irish/
Yeah it is. Rate it for Irish or in general? Not good for Irish in particular (some good threads on Reddit etc about what), but I use it to supplement other sources. In general, I think it’s good for casual learning or fun, but not going to be your sole source if you truly need fluency.
Lies, I have worked with Irish engineers. I have to spend just as much time persuading them as I do Americans!
One of my superpowers is being able to lose anything not actually attached to my body or nailed down, so getting new address labels and applying them to my non-nailed-down work gear is always a key part of starting a new job for me.
A #fusedglass small tray.
I still need to take the excess clear off the edges and trim it up (“cold working”) and then heat it up and let it sag into a tray shape (“slump it”), but I’m so happy with how it looks so far.
The final bonus is that I’m working with a bunch of folks I know from prior companies like Amazon, Splunk, and Google, including my entire management chain (other than Satya), and the company is very remote/hybrid-friendly.
And as you may be able to tell from the “copilot” branding, it uses AI, so I’m getting a chance to dive deep into the advantages and risks of AI, including LLMs like what powers ChatGPT.
I’m happy to be back at a big company, working with business customers, and extra-happy to be working in the security space as information security is so critical.
I started a new job this week, VP at Microsoft, Security Copilot.
We work across all of Microsoft’s security products and external security companies to make it much easier and faster for security operations professionals to quickly discover and investigate potential risks more quickly.
Sunday similar to Saturday! Relaxing making patterns with stringers for #fusedglass
A relaxing Saturday with glass. #fusedglass
This is a pretty impressive and higher-effort-than-normal phishing attempt. Not likely something most folks need to watch for, but a good read regardless.

— Tress of the Emerald Sea: A Cosmere Novel (Secret Projects Book 1) by Brandon Sanderson
“Everything is extraordinary about you, Tress,” her mother said. “That’s why nothing in particular stands out.”
Well, parents have to say things like that. They’re required to see the best in their children, otherwise living with the little sociopaths would drive a person mad.
There isn’t really. I’m splitting my time and posts (I rely on Facebook for my glass fusing groups) and just focusing on the fact that every minute less I spend there makes a difference.
I really love this — the mix of organic and inorganic is beautiful
Not a planet 😛
Tried something new with this one. As always, learned a bunch and looking forward to the next.

Figured out a way to get my iPad up off my desk so I have more space for #fusedglass
Oh man, home baked pumpkin seeds are one of the best things in the world.
Strata this is awesome, I didn’t know you did pottery!
If you don’t do stained glass or glass fusing you won’t be able to appreciate this as much but just know…. This is a big deal to get this clean a circle. Goal next time: completely clean circle!
