No the song, jist the weather ootside noo.
On another trip we had one lady who was constantly drinking from a Lourdes water canteen and it wasn't until one of the others in the group was offered a sip we discovered it was gin. ๐
One time one of the doctors with us hitched a lift in a spare wheelchair but as we approached the grotto he thought it a bit off so he lept to his feet while it was still rolling... two nearby nuns dropped to their knees blessing themselves and we had to explain it wasn't a miracle. ๐
On one visit the group I was leading were put at the front of that big procession and we had to follow a zig-zag route towards the basilica .... I was tempted to see if they'd follow us out to one of the cafe bars where we usually ended up for medicinal brandies etc.
Then there were the St. Bernadette flick-knives. ๐
The Flashing Virgins were the big sellers when I took groups of people with severe disabilities and illnesses to Lourdes, seeing statues of Our Lady with arches of flashing fairy lights round her brightened their day.
I preferred the toilet roll holder that played the Lourdes hymn when it unwound.
It's 142 AD & a Roman sodger & 4 o his pals, jist feenished work fir the day oan the Antonine Wa' buildin site, walk intae a crowded pub in Scotland, waves tae the barman and signs he wants 5 pints and gets tossed oot straight away....

Ah, but there's a bigly difference between an expat and an immigrant....
The Stone Age? While Western "civilisations" were living in caves, discovering fire and stone tools "Iran" was already a developed civilisation that has been in existence for 7000 years.
I had the misfortune to be an 11yr old Scout travelling on a train back from a camp in Torquay while that final was on. We made a small fortune because our leader had a transistor radio and we went up and down the train updating folk with the score after each goal and getting tips.
