MFSA invites you to take part in the UMC denomination-wide Leadership Gathering survey and to respond honestly, drawing on your own experience of church, community, and public witness.
“God promises no harm, and as people who follow the ways of God, we too are committed to do no harm to any part of God’s creation,” the bishops said in their response letter.
The bishops affirmed their commitment to implementing the decisions made at the 2024 General Conference.
United Methodist Creation Justice Movement sent an open letter to the Council of Bishops, and the Bishops responded!
Thank you to every advocate, every voter, and every community who continues to insist that our church fully reflects God’s expansive love.
The work for justice continues — and today, we celebrate!

This is a huge step forward — strengthening our commitment to racial justice, ensuring inclusion regardless of gender or ability, empowering every region of our global church, and expanding opportunities for diverse clergy leadership.

Food is land.
Food is roots.
Food is memory.
Food is a right, not a privilege.
On this #WorldFoodDay, as we mark #FAO80, let's all walk together #HandinHand.
Honour our roots and cultivate innovation. Harvest a better future for all.

Retired Bishop Peggy Johnson reminds United Methodists to reclaim our roots in justice and mercy — to remember Wesley’s witness to those on the margins — and to push back against policies that harm already vulnerable communities.

We’re sharing reflections from this journey—not because it’s easy, but because transformation demands transparency, community, and accountability. Let’s grow together.
We’re doing the deep, internal work of dismantling white supremacy within MFSA. In 2023, we launched a Racial Audit Implementation Team to disrupt white dominant culture and live more fully into our values of equity and justice.

Resurrection is not merely a past event but an ongoing call to action, urging us to dismantle injustice and embody new life in our communities.
This Palm Sunday, may we have the courage to walk with those who are crying, “Save us.”
God, let us be part of your healing, justice, and transformation in a hurting world. May our “hosanna” be not just words, but action.
Amen.
We hear the cry of Hosanna today—in war zones, in prisons, in Gaza, at the U.S.-Mexico border, in our broken healthcare and justice systems. It’s a word of urgency. A word that resists silence.
Jesus didn’t answer their cries with violence. He entered on a donkey. His revolution was one of truth-telling, healing, and turning over tables that upheld oppression.
Hosanna wasn’t just a shout of praise. It was—and still is—a cry for help. It means “save us.” In the streets of an occupied city, people cried out for liberation from empire, economic injustice, and corrupt leadership.
