Trump. Can we return him?
"Men can't see the mess." "Women are better at chores." These myths position women to take on more emotional thinking, says researcher Leah Ruppanner. She shares what works to reclaim your headspace. n.pr/48hkWLT
Caught Bruce Springsteen's homecoming show in Newark last night, part of a tour designed as a musical cavalcade of protest against the rise of American authoritarianism. I have to say that as a brash and sincere act of dissent, it was one of the most genuinely patriotic things I've witnessed.

Photo of Pete Hegseth with a headline from The Advocate overlayed: "Pete Hegseth's Pentagon has started kicking trans troops out of the military, DOJ says"
Countless trans people have already been forced out of the military because of Trumpโs trans military ban. Attempting to kick out those remaining is a gross politicization of our military.
โThe absolutely horrendous and disgusting Wall Street Journalโ is frying me
Trump still has no plan to reimburse the American people for his illegal tariff taxes.
American families paid $1,700 more because of these taxes.
When will they get the relief they're owed?

People forget the human beings behind their favorite media. They do not owe anyone every ounce of their lives. Iโve been in many fandoms, but some of the toxicity in them is staggering.
Meta just paid the lowest effective federal tax rate in its history.
Thanks to tax breaks and loopholes, it avoided $13.7B in 2025 federal income taxes.
But now it's planning to lay off 10% of its global workforce (8,000 people) by May 20 โ with more job cuts later this year.
Trickle down hoax.

โItโs a couple of things that work beautifully in concert. First: no music. Audiences are so sophisticated, but what theyโre not accustomed to is not being told how to feel,โ Wyle says. โYou take all that out and it forces a level of engagement where youโre now looking for clues within the frame of the screen, which forces you to look up from your phone. And I think that is extremely engaging, especially to young viewers who arenโt accustomed to being asked to participate in a nonpassive way in the viewing experience.
โSecond point, shooting it with almost exclusively 50-millimeter or 65-millimeter lenses, which is the most comparable to the human eyeโand only shooting from the point of view of a human being thatโs present in this space. There are no cameras on gurney wheels going in the hallway. Thereโs no cameras on the ceiling looking down from a God point of view. You are limited to the perspective of a participant. You can look away, but you canโt leave, and it becomes an endurance test for you to stay on your feet as long as weโre on our feet. Which [brings me to my] third point: real time. Real time has an aggregate sense of tension that you donโt get in any other form of storytelling. What happened before is happening now, and these two things are going to add up to the next thing. And if we throw more ingredients into this cooker and keep ratcheting it up, itโs going to pop.โ
Wyle makes eye contact for his next point, delivering it with a Robby-esque matter-of-factness. โFourth point: The election went the other way,โ he says with a shrug. โWe could have been a really good show with a lot of nice things to say in a perfectly normal Kamala Harris universe. And instead we became almost a beacon of hope and humanity in an alternative universe. But in the midst of that, fifth pointโthis is essentially competence porn. Youโre watching really smart, dedicated people do what only they know how to do at a level that you donโt know how to do it, and youโre so fucking glad that theyโre there doing it, and compartmentalizing their own stuff to put your broken pieces back together. Youโre so reassured by knowing that there are people out there that laugh and joke and have the ability to lock in like that.โ
this is fucking unreal stuff from Noah Wyle on the magic of The Pitt. www.gq.com/story/noah-w...
my prediction for the season finale of the pitt is that doctor robby steals an ambulance and thelma & louises it off of one of the three sisters bridgers
