I’m sorry some of your friends lost their jobs

I’m sorry but these guys aren’t just entitled to keeping their jobs. This is a competitive business and the Washington Nationals have been absolutely abysmal for five years. Of course I feel bad but this stuff tends to happen when you have a .407 winning percentage since 2020
pointing at the sign and asking pointedly what the Washington Nationals front office has actually done recently
the Nationals have abjectly sucked at scouting and player development for uh a decade or so and specifically brought in someone completely new to actually fix all of that after the previous glossy hires just kept making it worse; they also already had incredibly high org turnover
It is unfortunate for people who didn’t but it is an occupation hazard when there is a total restructuring of an organization
When there is a (needed) restructuring of a company, people lose their jobs. When someone new comes in, they want their own guys and frankly a fresh start was needed. I don’t have any inside knowledge but based on the performance at the mlb and MILB level, a lot of those people did deserve it
And breaking your top 10 pick is another example of why the organization needed total change!!
When you look at the results over the last five years, I don’t know how you can say the organization didn’t need a total overhaul. Does it suck that you lose some good people in that process sure, but it is tough to say this was harsh. If anything this is happening a couple years too late.
I mean it was also the group that drafted Seaver king in the top 10 and made Luke Dickerson the richest second round pick ever
Sure, the equipment manager is extreme. But the minor league coaches weren’t exactly getting these guys ready for the big leagues and the organizations minor league numbers were some of the worst across the board. The Nationals drafting has also been horrific for over a decade
Sad for those people but change was desperately needed in the building. This kind of stuff is what happens when a franchise vastly underperforms for half a decade
The new guy got hired about a week ago
I would say the Nationals being the second worst team in baseball since 2020 with no upward mobility is a pretty good evaluation point
The team has stunk for half a decade. Yea, it is sad to see people lose their jobs but these guys aren’t entitled to these jobs especially after the team has done poorly for years
This was such a great conversation with a true Nats fanatic
We had the pleasure of talking to the great Chuck Todd. He told some great stories and shared his thoughts on his beloved Nats www.federalbaseball.com/general/8606...
There is nothing enjoyable about watching Keibert Ruiz play baseball. Even when he's good, he sucks. I hate him.
Between his last year at Cal and his professional career, Caleb Lomavita has 28 HBP to 20 walks
A look at how MacKenzie Gore dominated a good Phillies lineup www.federalbaseball.com/2025/3/28/24...
