The effective federal corporate income tax rate:

1950: 50%
1990: 25%
2020: 13%

Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate.

That is how we will pay for it.

Elizabeth Warren agrees Democratic race 'rigged' for Clinton Elizabeth Warren, who was a top Clinton supporter, says the contest against Bernie Sanders was unfair.

Okay, your mind's made up. For anyone else who might be reading, here's an example. Dem insider talking about Dem insiders. Unless have millions of dollars to buy your way in to Dem leadership, your voice will not be heard, never mind heeded.

To be fair, anyone who supports Trump isn't conservative, either. This stuff is outside any brand of political philosophy that America has ever seen before. Conservatives of earlier eras would absolutely recoil from Trump.

And, yes, get involved w/ local politics or civic groups, but you know and I know that if you expect that, in doing so, you will have any effect on the SYSTEM that governs American electoral politics, you will be disappointed. Just look around ... what evidence do YOU see of the people's power? 3/3

You and I both know that voting for a third party candidate is futile in a system this rigged by corporate media, corporate campaign donations, and state laws written by the two major parties to disadvantage third parties..2/3

That's motivated reasoning that, I suspect, you know is not true. Even if YOU have time, energy, and skill, to research all the declared candidates for any office, you and I both know that only the ones covered as 'serious' by the corporate media will be known to enough voters to matter ... 1/3

Pointing out Congressional inaction on impeachment is not mean.

It is not partisan.

It's factual, because we observe their actions.

We can either fix this by pressuring them to do their jobs or by voting them all out, but it must be fixed. Soon.

Country over party, folks.

Demand better.

Oh, honey. You gotta set aside the pretty lies they taught us in grade school, and realize that billionaires and global corporations now control our media and our politicians. We cannot learn about any candidate they don't want us to know about, or vote for anyone they kept off the ballot.

Used to be recognized as the Hippocratic Oath, but that didn't operate in a system controlled by corporate greed, where the rule is "First, do no harm to corporate profits."

Just because you and I would have had a rational reason for making a speech like that doesn't mean Melania would. I think we rational people spend far too much time and energy trying to figure out reasons for people who don't have them.

Treason's hard to convict. I'll go for imprisoning them all on corruption and malfeasance charges.

We have GOT to turn our fury toward the congressional Republicans. They can stop this madman anytime they want. We cannot wait for the next session of Congress to start in 2027. America needs a Congress NOW.

I hope you're right about Hegseth, and I'm having hard time picturing anyone worse. BUT ... I have a strong sense that Hegseth has a hold over Trump (or maybe Miller, which might be even more significant) that Noem and Bondi did not have. Congressional Republicans own this, b/c they could stop it.

just to be clear, everyone, when 8 pm EDT comes and goes, regardless of what does or does not happen, the president still threatened genocide and war crimes and we should still impeach, arrest, and try him

Not to worry. All our enemies know that if Trump says it was "hundreds", it might have been 3 or 4 or 100 or 12,000, and they also know the most likely situation is that Trump doesn't even know how many it was.

Republicans in Congress could, and it astounds me that all the fury and ridicule we're aiming at Trump is not instead directed at the Republican in Congress. They are the only people on the planet that can stop this s**t show.

Fact check. He did say that, on April 1, at a White House Easter lunch. White House posted, then removed, video of the remarks.

The sooner he departs, the better, IMHO. I'll be happy to celebrate by removing his name.

A corporation is a THING, like a vacuum cleaner or a car. It was created to generate wealth for its owners--nothing more. It feels nothing, good or bad. No happiness, no sadness. No love, no hate. Think of it as a profit-generating robot, and overturn Citizens United, so that it has no rights.

a man in a suit and tie says i can 't tell you how much i love that .. ALT: a man in a suit and tie says i can 't tell you how much i love that ..

Let me get this straight.

DHS is not funded because ICE doesn’t want to wear body cams, follow procedures or show their face.

As a result TSA is not funded.

So ICE now has to work at TSA were they are constantly recorded, masks are security liability and the job is 100% procedures.

It is the REPUBLICANS in CONGRESS who cannot impeach this president. The Dems could do it if they had the power. Heck, 12 random people on the street could do it--it they had the power that congressional Republicans have. All the pressure, all the accountability must land on the Republicans.

Every morning, I open the newspaper with a silent prayer that I will see that obituary on the front page.

Oh, I'm sorry. Were you expecting the rich and powerful to be arrested for their involvement in Jeffrey Epstein's child sex trafficking crimes? I'm afraid that's just not going to be possible. You see these people are wealthy and that means they are above the law. Hope this clears things up!

Get serious: You know, we know, and they know that they are NOT concerned about illegal votes. Don't pretend you don't know that. Speak the truth: this is a Republican project to retain power for themselves and the wealthy elite by undermining American elections.

This message is weak unless you say WHO should remove and imprison Trump: the Republicans in Congress. All the energy now wasted on Trump alone should be instead brought to bear on the only people on this planet who can actually end his reign.
