One thing was clear - BAT continues to return HUGE amounts to shareholders, £34 BILLION since 2020 and, in the words of Chair Luc Jobin, is 'quite a cash generator'.
He also highlighted the 'relentless' approach they have been taking to try and engage with governments and stakeholders, including on the #TobaccoandVapesBill in the UK.
The Chair openly admitted that the company 'downplay' the key role that cigarettes still play in the business and that cigarettes continue to 'play a critical role' - so much for a 'Better Tomorrow'.
The board of British American Tobacco, one of the most powerful and profitable #TobaccoCompanies in the world, met in London yesterday. They had a lot to say about their business and @tcrgbath.bsky.social & @ashorguk.bsky.social were there to hear it.
