Haven't played this one myself, so not sure it'd hit quite the same notes or inspirations, but the dev that made this also made "Mohrta" which is, imo, absolutely fantastic. One of my favorites I played last year. Might be worth a look if you think you'd enjoy more of their works.

I think I ended up scaling up from doing something similar. Usually 1-2 story pawns of my own fashioning who end up a surprising amount of the weight, haha. This past run though was just seeing how many OCs from a setting I could fit into one run. (And force myself to finally name them lol)

Not as amusing, but lately I name my colonists (and tweak them via editor) to be like my OCs and name any animals of a fitting species after friends' OCs. So they end up in the middle of the colony protected by my dumb OP characters :3
