Happy Earth Day, everyone! 🌍

Though it might not seem so, we live on a truly unique and beautiful planet whom we owe our entire existence to. Our survival depends not only on how well we look after each other, but how well we look after our own world.

WOW. Your line and shape rendering here is impeccable!!

It absolutely matches the original short to a T!

Your ability to find four-leaf clovers is a superpower that needs to be studied.

HA. It's the little background jokes I'm loving here, like the keg of "Interstella Artois"... XD

But GOSH, she looks so incredibly cute in your own style, mac!! I can't get enough of how well you rendered all the details of her face and that springy hair! Thank you SO so much for this!! 😃

Cartoon illustration showing both of Mars's pet moons, Phobos on the left and Deimos on the right.

Cartoon illustration showing Mars with her two pet moons, Phobos and Deimos. She holds Deimos in one arm while Phobos viciously chews on Mars's "practice" sword. Mars holds up her sword (and Phobos along with it) with a disappointed look on her face, while Phobos and Deimos appear utterly clueless.

Oh goodness, you gave Pluto the most adorable expression here!! ☺️ Don't worry too, she always appreciates at least *someone* remembering her and giving her attention, ha.

Thank you very much for all this wonderful fanart!!

Still baffled as to the thought process behind her whole arc.

Did losing Homer ruin her THAT badly?

To think, I've seen a full turnaround of her roughly 34 times and I still barely know what she looks like from the thighs up!

There's no way I will be able to stay in Boston. This leaves me with a few options.

Option 1)
My roommate is planning to rent a 2
bedroom apartment in Pennsylvania, and would be fine with me living there with them for a year if l can find a job in the area. After a year I would be expected to move out since they want to live on their own without roommates. If this happens I could most likely get by on my own between a job, patreon supporters and commissions since rent is cheaper.

Option 2)
If I could find a high paying job in Ohio, I could move in with my grandmother in Cleveland.
This isn't really ideal since I would have to leave the house on days my dad visits her.
Option 3)
I'm being heavily pressured to move back in with my mom who would give me 3 months to find a job in Ohio. If I can't find a job within that time frame l'd likely be unhoused once the 3 months are up. Going back to that house would be bad for a number of reasons: less privacy, less ability to talk to people, and it's an extremely abusive environment.

Right now, I'm saving as much money as I can to prepare for this. Any help finding employment in Pennsylvania or Ohio would be greatly appreciated.
I would be totally ok living on my own as long as I can support myself financially. I need to save for covering the first/last months rent on a new apartment, moving costs, debt, monthly expenses, etc.
I'm really hoping in the next few years I can find stable long term housing instead of having to repeat this song and dance every year.
Thank you for your help. •

Illustration of Luna from "Those Heavenly Bodies." She is smiling at the viewer while carrying a basket of Easter eggs, each painted to resemble the eight major planets. She holds up one in particular, painted to look like her planet Terra. Below her is the following text: "Computus (short for computus paschalis) is the calculation used to determine the date of Easter for each calendar year. By tradition, Easter falls on the first Sunday following the first full moon of the March equinox. To accurately calculate the date of Easter in advance thus required a thorough record-keeping of the lunar cycle and solar year."

We're having a very Steinbeck Easter this year, from the looks of it!

Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot OFFICIAL YouTube video by carlsagandotcom

To quote the immortal Carl Sagan, "That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives."

We need to remember this now more than ever.

We take this picture for granted because we've all seen it SO many times at this point. In movies, TV shows, games, cartoons, clothes, logos, clip art, and so on.

But it was one of the very first times humanity was able to see our entire planet from afar, and helped spark a brand new mindset.

To put this in perspective, the very last time an actual person was able to photograph the entire Earth was during the very last Apollo mission over 50 years ago, when the famous "Blue Marble" photo was taken.

In that amount of time, this picture has become ingrained into the public consciousness.
