I feel like we see this playbook over and over. identify a minority group that has caught public sympathy, establish a core population within that group who are the Real Victims, and then justify targeting people outside of that core in the name of protecting it

sometimes I see one of those meticulously clean minimalist magazine spread homes and think only ghosts must live there so I think you're onto something
