This week, I had the pleasure of being invited to the Louvre to present the archaeological program "Riad - Urban Gardens of Medieval Morocco". This program, carried out in collaboration with INSAP, highlighted the evolution of the gardens of the Aghmat palace complex during the Middle Ages.
The Romans commonly ate shellfish from Mediterranean lagoons. But how can we unveil supply networks using archaeology? A new study by my colleague Cyprien Mureau introduces a new method to do so and the results are fascinating:
