Where is the accountability in all of this? How do taxpayers continue to be on the hook for this atrocious, inexcusable debacle?

We haven't been since March 2023 and have no plans to go back. We do all the same as you and we also don't have any American streaming or Amazon.I'm trying to purge American pop culture and technology which is a harder task but doable.

This is unacceptable. We have cleaner, cheaper options that are being pushed aside for these huge increases. We need to see large scale solar, wind and batteries on the books, not this. Shame on the Ford Government.

I'm more concerned with all of the kms of sewer and water pipe, roads etc that will be needed when we can't even maintain what is currently in place. Tewin is so far from any current infrastructure. Starting from scratch seems so wasteful. Not to mention GHG.

Great article Laine. How can council continue to support the Tewin development in light of this type of funding shortfall? Council should not be approving any new developments anywhere in the city until we have fully committed to densification.

In a recent National Post article, the Macdonald-Laurier Institute argued that climate is no longer a priority for Canadians, so Carney should reverse Trudeau’s climate policies. Let’s dive into who they really are and why they want us to think that Canadians don’t care about climate. 🧵#ClimateSky

Insect populations are declining at an unprecedented rate The most diverse group of organisms on the planet are in trouble and the consequences could be dire.

Insects were the canary. Very few were paying any attention.

Their loss is part of this decrease in bird population.

Elbows Up For Climate Elected local leaders from across Canada are uniting to say Elbows Up for Climate. This is the moment to protect our country from the dual threats of tariffs and climate change.

Climate has taken a backseat in this election. Let's remind our leaders that we haven't forgotten. If you don't see your mayor or councillor in this list, get in touch with them and tell them this is important to you.

The feelings of pride and sadness are so strong as I listen to these powerful words. As a Canadian, I like having friends and I don't like fighting with them. It feels so foreign to be at odds with our neighbours.

As we witness the rapid backsliding of hard fought environmental gains in the U.S., we need to remember this when we go to vote in our own upcoming Federal election. We must vote for the candidates and parties that protect our democratic processes and freedom of expression.
