Corruption and power rots many of their reputations. We see it on both sides of the political spectrum. Billionaires have taken over and many lawyers have now shown their dirt hands which Donald Trump has shown that. There are other countries were people are actually thriving and less stressed.
One indication to tell the retirees love Florida, just look at the number of 55 and up communities that are scattered across the state and the number of mobile home dealers are scattered across the state. Private companies are now buying out 55 and up communities forcing them out due to lot fees.
like i know that late boomers and x-ers love florida (and south carolina and texas) for the lifestyle of low taxes, maximum consumption, warm weather, more entertainment, giant SUVs, and i figure a lot of this cohort will go for south carolina or tennessee instead
The retired seniors are leaving the southwest corridor of Florida down near the Sarasota and Naples areas. The cost of living they can't keep up with due to many factors homeowners insurance is one. The state allowed insurance companies raise its customers premiums. Contractors scamming the seniors.
They did this to the Native Americans, sent the children from the Indigenous tribes to boarding schools.Took them away from their civilization and had them adopted into white family homes. Right now, Christianity is being forced onto children in schools while many children are targeted by predators.
This isn't just eugenics, removing children from parents to reeducate them in your culture is a form of genocide. One with a long tradition in the US at that.
As a true Floridian, it has become increasing hot here over the years. The more trees they tear down to develop land, the temperature has become ridiculously hot to deal with early as spring. The humidity here is awful during the summer months it's brutal.

Florida has become the state for land developers to profits off specific areas of Florida. Many parts of Florida is prone to flooding and its drainage infrastructure is poor within specific counties. DeSantis has rejected funding for many counties to update the storm drainage systems.
