I'm not saying Trump is a Russian asset, just that I can't think of anything he'd be doing differently if he were.

Me: "I think my new philosophical project is more fun than what I've been doing previously."
My wife Emma: "I think you're stretching the word 'fun' beyond its natural boundaries."

Nigel Farage Is a Racist The media is refusing to state the most bleedingly obvious facts about a man whose entire career has been devoted to pursuing a racist political agenda

King Charles: Stop Profiting At Britain’s Expense! Energy bills are soaring, and the King is getting rich at our expense. Sign the petition to demand the Crown Estate lower fees on seabeds and make wind farms more affordable to build.

Did you know that every time you boil the kettle or toast a crumpet, you might be indirectly paying money to the King?

The Crown Estate, which owns seabeds around the British coast, is charging offshore wind developers extortionate fees to build turbines.

Review: Stick in the Wheel, Strange Brew - 'One of the most original and exciting bands' Are the London folk trio one of the best live acts out there?

My review of the incredible @stickinthewheel.bsky.social gig at Strange Brew last Monday. They were so good, I’m ruined for all other bands now!

100% agree.

It’s personal choice in the end. I think for me it would be about finding which meal would be hardest to skip. These days I can skip lunch easily (but then I’m eating two meals within 10 hours - not what you are looking for). When I was younger I’d skip breakfast.

Usually in those communities you don’t eat after midday I think.

I’m remembering Theravada retreats.

Personally if I were going to restrict I would have breakfast and lunch and “allowables” in the evening.

Chapter 17
The best leaders are those whose existence is hardly felt. Next best are those who are both loved and praised. Then worse are those who instill fear, and the worst of all are those who incur contempt. When leaders are not trust-worthy, it is impossible for the common masses to trust them. The best leaders are always quiet and composed, rarely issuing decrees and orders. When they accomplish all their tasks, and achieve their goals, people would say,
"This is what we are".
