Just in time for afternoon traffic, northbound I-5 south of Bellingham reopened Wednesday. Both lanes were closed for three weeks as crews removed enough debris to fill two Olympic-sized swimming pools.

UPDATE 4/10: The news you've all waited for - we expect to open northbound I-5 by 5am Thurs (4/16), pending final evaluation of the slope. If that inspection finds something that needs to be addressed, opening may be delayed.

Educators and community members came together in Morton last week to work on efforts to preserve the Dakota and Ojibwe languages.

There are only four first language Dakota language speakers left in Minnesota, all of whom are over the age of 68.
