I was awake 11:30pm-3:30am and awake again for the day at 4:30am. I will be lucky to make 8pm tonight.

Today is my last day of work until next Wednesday and I can’t wait for a break! So needed!

Every time I find a product that works for naturally curly hair that isn’t coarse they stop making it. So bloody annoying!

There are some strange people in the world. Sitting at a table having a coffee. A woman sits down in one of the chairs at the table and doesn’t acknowledge my existence. Plenty of empty tables in the place. So I loudly said, “Hi!” and she looked at me like I was the crazy one. 😂

Tonight I experimented with One-Pot Swedish Meatball Pasta from @howtofeedaloon.bsky.social Fun fact - egg noodles in New Zealand are different to the ones in the US. Would use a different pasta next time, but will definitely be making this again. We both loved it!

I attended a meeting today abt the rollback of protections for the Waitakere Ranges bc there's no ref to the Treaty in new RMA. Steve Able ptd to a picture of the Treaty. It lay in the basement & was nibbled by rats. Typical of Wgtn. Now was the time not to let the gvt nibble the Treaty again.

7:30pm. I am ready for bed. This doesn’t bode well for tomorrow morning.

this article is really interesting going into the ways they "mapped out" the population of night parrots in the area as well as assessing the dangers to them. a super cool take away to me was the idea that a lot of people might assume dingoes are a risk to them - but instead they manage feral cats.

After finally managing to get the supermarket shop done, I also got a few loads of washing dry on the line and trimmed some of the trees and bushes around the place. A successful Sunday.
