I feel like "the art of war" should be a minimum threshold.
I would like to go back a year to when I could think "surely some of this is too simple. Leaders cannot be that dump anymore"
We are living in such strange times that the Pope is requesting that we DON'T do a crusade, please? We are beyond "The Children's Crusade" levels here.
Detail of a copperplate print showing Carlos de Bastida y Biedma. The monk is sitting at his working desk, surrounded by opened books, and other objects. Source: https://dev.hab.de/portraits/werk/28624/
3 tabs opened, a note-pad with a to-do-list in front of you, and a pair of spectacles handy. Surfing on the #earlymodern internet in 1622. #skystorians
A man sitting at a working desk, in 1540 setting, with a drinking cup, a few books, a writing desk with paper sheets, and lots of more details.
Working the morning shift as a scholar in 1540, a browser tab and a word document opened on two screens, other needed texts opened and handy, an overfull mail account nearby, and a hot beverage in reach to make for the best working condition. Bonus: wearing a thinking hat. #academicchatter
Doing good work with the Aussie propaganda biscuits
A cake. It is enthusiastically decorated in an amateur style. The icing is buttercream with piping on the edges.
Two baked cakes with concentric rings.
Two round tins, filled with cake batter. Each tin has three concentric circles, in alternating colours. One tin has purple-pink-purple rings, the other has pink-purple-pink rings
I did some 3D printing this week. Might have to do some destructive testing though.
The worst part of the whole US/Israeli attack is that they are doing it during Ramadan. These people are rescuing their neighbours and clearing rubble while fasting. I would call this "war" inhumane.
You already sprained your eyes once last year. I'm not letting you make it an Easter tradition.
To: USA, From: Australia.
There are four demographics. Those that cannot vote and do not. Those that cannot and do. Those that can and do. Those that can and don't.
The cannot and do is much smaller that the can and don't. Focus on the real problems
Nah, you need to take out her editor, Rose. She made the stories a lot more "cute"
A Celtoc/Viking style leather breastplate
Something that's been bugging me for a while: the loops on the shoulder, what are they called? Please?
I figure they're to hang a cape from, but I've no idea what they're called. #AusLARP #larp #armour
The personal attacks on this website must cease
"AI doing kids homework" might be the thing that finally kills homework. I hate the means, but I welcome the outcome. Teach in a way that means kids can understand the ideas and concepts. Leave time for them to be kids.
Morning thought:
Orange mouse likes the ceremony that happens when he signs a quote unquote "deal", so he makes new hoops for everyone to jump through.
He is a kid that has found the infinite birthday glitch.
A small watercolor painting. The scene shows a bridge across a waterway. The bridge is diagonal, from top left to bottom right. The waterway is framed by two cliffs. A small patch of grass lies in the foreground with s scattering of stepping stones. The overall style is water blending with a limited pallette. The cliffs are warm brown and the grass is mostly a light green. The yellow base tone gives everything a more cartoon feel.
Slowly learning how to make good use of watercolors. I like how a drafting pen can make details clear. The "bleed outside the lines" effect is nice too.
At that point you may as well make an air raid siren.
WinRAR is more profitable than OpenAI
Kale is a Bun's best num. Our little fluff peets will sell any three grandmothers for kale.
What next? Oscar the twitch streamer?
A logo for MEANJIN IN 28 on a black background. The letter M contains an image of an Indigenous adventurer with a snake and a wooden walking stick, viewing a futuristic city with flying transport vehicles. The letters EAN contain an image of an Indigenous woman with long, curly hair, viewing the planets, stars, and constellations. The letters JIN contain an image of an Indigenous Elder in a canvas jacket wearing an Outback hat accompanied by three stylistic dingoes in a lush green Australian bush / forest. The snake's multi-coloured body weaves through the images from the M to the last N. https://brisbane28.org

If 40+ years of engineers, days scientists and autistics with a keyboard haven't automated the boring parts of office work, what makes you think 5 years of ketamine powered rich kids will do better?

Fallout is weird to me. They had an atmospheric thruster that could run for hours on a tiny fuel tank with a thrust output of almost half a tonne. What did they do with it? Shove it up the arse of a mass produced domestic robot.
And the nuclear rocket to mars was still in active development?
Bed time thought: what happens if the orange menace hits the print button on the mint?
If you're Australian, could you sign please?

Petition before the Australian Parliament to maybe not automate critical care decisions under the NDIS.
Anyone who followed robodebt would have gone "fuck no" at the proposal to use AI - suggesting neither the Parliament nor the bureaucracy followed robodebt.
