Illustration of skeletons in 5 panels following instructions written: unclench your jaw, move your neck, stretch, fix your posture, adopt a positive mindset. The drawings are in red and duplicated and distorted in purple. The background in yellow.
A gentle reminder to move your bones
yep, they're still at it in LA and Portland too
the media is gonna be like "time for a new narrative" and it's so important to keep talking about how none of the cities they invaded have become more safe since the spotlight shifted away from them
I know this is really weird to say but...there was some good news...out of Congress! Rebuking President Trump, Congress votes to maintain most of the federal funding for libraries, museums, & archives. From our friends @everylibrary.bsky.social This doesn't happen without your activism. Keep it up!
Comic panels about Koshka the cat's day. Each time stamp is a single panel. 12 am: The silhouette of a cat peers into a starry room, saying "The office is open? I must investigate." 1 am: A fluffy striped cat blocks the computer screen, facing the screen and noting "I am more important than this 'monitor' thing." 2 am: Walking through the door with only her tail visible, the cat says "I'm bored. I'm leaving." 3 am: She returns to glare impatiently at the viewer, "Are we still in the office? Really?" 4 am: With her head zoomed in as if she is in the viewer's face, the cat says "I want to go to bed. Hurry up." 5 am: The cat sleeps in a cat tree, labelled "Cat tree time." 6 am: The silhouette of the cat looms on furniture, eyes glowing, and says "I see you are attempting to sleep. I will observe." 7 am: The cat flies through space in her UFO, face alight in wonder at comets, stars, the moon, and a planet.
The second page of comic panels about Koshka the cat's day. 2 pm: The cat curls up like a blob on a bed. "Time for a nap." 4 pm: The cat sits directly behind someone's legs in the kitchen. "I will help you with the kitchen tasks." 5 pm: The cat reaches for the doorknob of a closed door, saying "This door should not be closed." 6 pm: A paw touches a phone making a phone call. "You got any games on your phone?" 7 pm: The cat looks at a laptop, saying "Where is my space laser show?" 8 pm: The cat peeks around a corner, saying "Did I hear that you found a spider?" 9 pm: A sleeping cat is almost entirely engulfed within a fluffy bed. "If you need me, I'll be in my poof." 11 pm: The cat gazes upward at a row of fish-shaped cat treats surrounded by geometric patterns and says "Greenies greenies I want greenies greenies greenies -" The cat then leaves the last comic frame, only her tail and back end visible, with text in the panel saying "okay bye. leave now."
Finally getting around to posting this year's #hourlycomicsday. I spent most of the time on deadlines again so figured I'd focus on the true star of the show.
Minneapolis residents are facing a growing food crisis. Fear from ICE is keeping families—especially elders, parents, and the homebound from groceries.
Feed Minneapolis funds trusted local food shelves and kitchens, with a goal of feeding 10,000 people in 2 weeks.

Last for today—the East Side of St. Paul has great need, but gets less attention than Minneapolis. This rent relief fund is available to those families and could use some love.

A comic in black/white/blue. Lucy rolls her bike through an alley, by a crew building a fence. Narration: My neighbors hired a crew to rebuild their fence. Crew member: "Do you need us to move our stuff out of the way?" Lucy: "Oh! No, you're all good, thanks!" Lucy: "Have a good one!" Crew member: "You, too!"
Narration: I was teaching when my phone started lighting up with alerts from the rapid response network and neighbor chat. Lucy's back is to us as she shows a group of enthusiastic children something on a notebook. Behind her, her phone in her bag is buzzing. Narration: By the time the lesson was over, they were already gone. Lucy is reading messages on her phone. Messages: Alert: black SUV Sighting: be on alert for... Confirmed abductionL alley between ----- and ----. SUV plates... We tried to get them inside, but it was too... ...Contacting an I.R. lawyer. Heading to Broadview later today.
Lucy is riding her bike home. Narration: On the ride home, I kept thinking "If I'd been there, could I have warned them? Would my ICIRR* training have helped?" *Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. Get trained and know your rights at ICIRR.org. Narration: I'd taken the training after Halloween, when the violent ICE raids had locked down our schools and driven our neighbors indoors. (Image of a halloween bucket in the shape of a jack-o-lantern) Narration: Halloween is fun here-- The community filling the streets and opening our doors to one another. But this year's was tense, frightened and subdued. Haunted.
Lucy is standing in the alley, staring at the newly built fence. Narration: When I got home, it was all done. The other two guys who had gotten inside in time stayed and finished the build. The new fence is superimposed with the brief exchange from earlier in the comic ("Have a good one" You, too") Narration: I see it every day and think about how those guys built this in the spot where strangers in masks took their friend. Narration: How many other places in our communities are similarly haunted? (Drawings of sidewalks, buildings, streets and windows)
"Haunted"

"IN OBSERVANCE & SOLIDARITY". Two black speech bubbles with white text read "HOURLY COMICS DAY IS NOW ON FEB 8TH. CARTOONISTS HONOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH. FEB 1 - MAR 1". There is an illustration of a black silhouetted hand raised and holding a pen in the top right, and an illustration of a nib pen and an ink well personified on the bottom right. The nib and ink are bumping fists. A URL at the bottom is "hourlycomicsday.com".

An illustration of Paul Bunyan, the giant American mythic lumberjack, giving one ICE agent a wedgie, and punting another with a shoe. Another ICE agent has just slipped and eaten shit on the ground, without anyone’s help. The text reads PAUL BUNYAN SEZ FUCK ICE.
Paul Bunyan sez FUCK ICE.
There had to have been hundreds of vigils around the twin cities tonight, helicopters harmonizing as we sang. [a group of people stand around a snow pile of candles] The candles are still burning.
Another day in minneapolis.

The first time I witnessed someone get abducted was Sunday, December 14th, 2025. ICE left behind his wife and an infant child in the car. The family was going to church. "We pulled over, but then they told us they would take us too if we did anything. We have our own baby in the back seat." None of us knew what to do. No one tells you how useless you feel when someone is taken.
The next abduction I witnessed was a couple weeks later. Both times, I hadn't even gotten out of bed yet when I heard the whistles. I was better at responding the second time. There's not a lot you can do except make noise and be annoying. I'm good at being annoying. At this point, being annoying is liable to get you shot or tear gassed or blinded. It is what it is.
Focusing on anything but the occupation has been difficult. That's what I've come to call it now--an occupation. What else do you call a bunch of soldier bullies driving around the streets trying to find people to kidnap? I try to be more present for my friends and neighbors. "Hey, do you have some time to drop off some donations this weekend?" "Yeah, I'll do a Costco run!" "I've got some blankets and coats to donate." "I can come pick them up tomorrow! You guys need anything from the store?"
"Is anyone available to watch the bus stop?" "I can!" [An image of two people at a bus stop. They're both wearing whistles.] A news article clipping: ICE detains 4 Colombia Heights students, including 5- and 10-year-olds sent to Texas. Colombia Heights Public Schools leaders addressed the ICE surge into the district, saying the community is "shattered." And they say they're "catching criminals." Sure.
stories from Minneapolis.

mine is struuuuuuuuuuuggling, i've resigned myself to the fact that it's basically not turning off for the whole weekend and yet won't get it to the temps i request in that time
Whatever protests you see in Minnesota today, I want you to remember that it’s in -21 F weather and that in spite of that the people are out there
i can't refute any of your reasons
