No matter how good CGI is, it always feels a level removed. And when it's bad, which it often is, it's just ridiculous and pulls you right out of the story.

God, I miss practical FX. They are so much more visceral.
In this one I'm also having fun saying the lines before the actors do. It's that predictable. Either that, or I've just seen way too much television in my lifetime.
Ayup.
I believe it would be beneficial to American if we were to take away the lifetime healthcare and pensions for elected representatives and made them find healthcare and benefits just like their constituents
We have created lifetime of benefits for a job that was not meant to be a career
Term limits!
Protect state parks!!
Then we dealt with the angry calls 3 months later when their backyards looked like construction sites. The product itself I think was crap as well. The funny thing is, I don't remember the names of any of my coworkers or bosses. But I remember the name of the Persian office cat: "Max."
For a while I had to work at this instant pool company. It was run by a Russian mail order bride and owned by a very rich midlife crisis man. I spent half my time there registering his sports cars at the dmv. The salesman made ridiculous promises, "you'lll have it in 6 days."
I just paid $4 for season two. Apparently I'm more bored than I thought. Or just desperately looking for distraction from reality...
Relatable.
I didn't know it was from the Lost people. That makes a lot of sense. I think I'd have to pay to watch the other seasons anyway, so I'll probably just skip it. There's only one character I find really interesting anyway. (And I still don't understand why everything has to be set in the USA!!)
I could see how it would be confusing. I was a little annoyed at myself for not putting it in quotes. It's a strange title choice. It's giving me Lost vibes. Like they have a lot of questions but very few answers and I'm not certain that the writers know what the answers are going to be in the end.
It's called "From." MGM+it's kind of an attempt to be lovecrafty I think. But it's fairly predictable. Basically it's a bunch of Canadian actors pretending to be Americans lost in the woods and scared of monsters. It'd middling at best.
Watching the first season of From (because it's free), but I'm aggravated. When you have that many Canadian actors, with obvious Canadian accents, why make them pretend to be USA residents? Why can't they just set the God damn show in Canada? It's frustrating. Accents are always an issue with me...
I'll definitely look it up!
Okay. This is brilliant. Probably the best thing I'll experience today.
I hate that they keep ripping words off from my favorite book series. Is nothing sacred? Stupid question. Of course it isn't.
Add Talk Talk; The Eurythmics; and Ultravox, and I'll join you.
Can he stop ruining stuff for five minutes??
Absolutely!!
I frequently call local businesses (specifically law firms) and tell them they have grammatical mistakes in their adverts. Writing is most of an attorney's job, for pity's sake. No job offers yet. ๐
If journalists had any integrity and courage, they would boycott the White House Correspondents Dinner. It should be as empty as a TPUSA event.
Depression takes away the will to act, period. It's rough.
I get the feeling she's not that mad at him, though.
They showed us that mini-series at school when I was in third grade. Scarred, but at least aware.
I'm putting that down to people being idiots. Same reason all our troubles exist.
Happy 80th Birthday to the legendary Tim Curry! ๐ค
I'll definitely seek it out!
(And yes, K. Laumer.)
I'm not in IT, but I read Demon Seed when I was eight, and my house is staying "stupid."
