True. Though unfortunately, there are always quite a frightening number of normal people who still shrug and think, "Ah, their problem over there."
It's always so disappointing. People are just ravenous at the realization that they can be fatphobic and blame it on the recipient's evil.

Respectfully, I don't agree. You cannot talk about Jews (or anyone else) that way and still make it to the highest public echelons of American society. Yes, they experience a higher rate of hate crimes, but those in charge of society at least pretend to condemn it.
